In the past, I've always chosen resolutions that would change me for the better.

I used to be way fat...so one year I resolved to work out and eat better; I got healthy. I started reading my bible every day, one year. I had terrible hand-writing, so I resolved to work on that a little more...today I can pen a note in copperplate better than Hannibal Lecter! One year, I resolved not to be so grumpy and to try to control my temper. That one worked, too.

I always try to pick out goals that I know I can succeed at...if I work at them.

So what's it going to be this year?

Maybe keeping my house a tad bit cleaner?

Keeping in better contact with my family?

I don't know...yet.

I never have been too hot on the idea of resolutions. It seems so many people try to use the New Year to set an unattainable goal for themselves.

If we are doing something we shouldn't or have a bad habit we want to kick, we shouldn't wait to the end of the year to start them, We should start NOW!

My only goal so far, is to lose the 10 lbs that I found this holiday season, this happens every year. I'm usually back to normal weight by my birthday, if not, I'll be shopping for bigger pants.
