What exactly does this mean???

And where does the scriptures speak of this???

It doesn't ... It's a false teaching.

Correct me if I'm wrong, please...

Soul ties, soul mates are all ideas coming from reincarnation. The idea is that we have people (souls) that we are tied to. They will be there with us in some capacity in the next life, and have been with us in past lives as well. A soul mate is the same thing.

All can give clues to the current themes you each are working on as a unit. Not all reincarnated soul groups are beneficial or even close. Often we meet the people we regard as our enemies again and again. Perhaps this is one good reason to avoid cultivating them! Failed relationships, tensions in the neighborhood or at work - any number of relationships can go sour. If the people involved do not resolve this tension and ambivalence it can carry over like a chronic disease. Best to process all negative feelings held about others in your life, talk about them and resolve them so they don't carry over in your energy bodies. Forgiveness and compassion are important for many good reasons. Resolution keeps karma within a manageable and content range. Those who continually add more negative karma to their soul's field are just asking for lots of interpersonal conflicts and problems, life after life. Best to love thy enemy, thy neighbor, whoever you have a problem with,..as yourself. There are lessons to be learned from the soul groups we choose to be a part of. Good or bad, loving or hateful, they all exist for a purpose.

I'm not sure why the term soul ties came to be in the Christian church. They have always been a Hindu teaching. I understand that Ruth & Naomi, and Jonathan & David had something very special, but I couldn't find the term "Soul Tie" in the NKJV of the Bible. IMO terms derrived from man made religions should not be confused with Biblical principles.

The occult always tries to copy the things of God. If you read those links I posted you will see that the principles were originally in the Word of God.

I'm very leery of the term....My mom had a friend who was a Christian, but had married a Hindu, BC. I remember her telling my parents how difficult it was to walk that fine line of being married and faithful to her husband, when he did not believe...but she alsotold mom & dad a lot about hinduism. Soul ties & soul mates was a big part of their religion.

So when I hear Christians using the term to explain a close binding deeply felt relationship, alarms go off in my spirit. It sounds to me like new age teachings that have invaded our churches. Something that also bothers me about it is that although I have been faithfully going to church, bible studies, and sunday school since I was 7 years old, I haven't heard of it in the church. To me it reeks of new age.

I refuse to touch it.

Yes, we become as one when we have intercourse with another person. Yes we can seem "joined a the hip" with someone, or like we say around here "sharing the same brain cell"... we can be spiritually, or emotionally, or intellectually intimate with someone...this is NOT soul ties.

...but we should call it something entirely different...
