I love this time of year. The lights and the excitement of the children. The fact that we are celebrating Jesus's birth. It is all great. I hope this doesn't get drawn into one of the "Christmas is a pagan holiday" or "if you arrange the letters in santa you get satan" threads. I just think it is interesting that in no passage of the Bible does it read that there were 3 wise men. As well they didn't even come to the manger. Maybe we should keep our nativity scenes up until June or so and add the wise men to them. And then of course everyone know they were 3 "kings" from the orient. Amazing what the Bible has left out about the Christmas story.

Yes, it is amazing how over time, things are taken out of context and changed dramatically. Look at Santa Claus. I just learned that Saint Nicholas had a ministry where he raised people from the dead? Where was THAT in the Christmas stories?

No matter how hard I read, I simply can't find anything about Santa, raindeer, or the North Pole anywhere.

I don't think the Bible screwed up anything. I think the traditional view of the Christmas Story is what has gotten corrupted over the years.
