Hey all.
I was just just curious as to when Christ's Birth was ? Was it on the 1st April ? I know April 1st became april fools day because that used to be Christmas day, but was moved to 25the December and many people didn't know, so they called it april fools. Or is that something false ?

Ican give a little insight on that. I dont have the references, someone else can possibly fill in the blanks......
April 1st came about because there used to be a calendar system that began the new year on what we now know as april 1st. When someone changed the calendar system to the one we have now, a lot of people forgot and thought April 1st was the first day of the New Year. Thus April Fools! As to Jesus's birthday, no one knows for sure, but I have heard speculation that it was in March, and also some that it was on one of the Feast days such as the Feast of Trumpets. That may not be accurate, but you get the idea.

For those who have a Companion Bible, the fully verifyable historical time line of Christ's birth (September 29) can be found in Appendix 179 as a NON-denominational analysis, without the biases and traditions of man.
To Recap... see my post # 6 in the following thread and also use the link at the bottom of that post to see all of the Appendixes to the Companion Bible... just scroll down to # 179 and read ALL the sections on # 179. You will see that the Conception of Christ took place on or about December 25 on our modern calendar, not His birth. When REALLY was Jesus Born? |

Yep - my best information is Friday April 1st 5BC. Adam was also created on Friday April 1st 3975BC. Jesus' ministry began when he was at the required thirty years of age on April 1st 26AD. This was exactly 4,000 years to the day from the creation of Adam. Jesus was called the second Adam. The first destroyed - the second redeemed. Jesus died on Friday April 15th 29AD at 3:00PM. His ministry lasted exactly three years and 15 days. Hebrews 10:20 tells us that the Veil that was torn from top to bottom at Jesus' crucifixion is symbolic of his his physical body that was rent for us. This veil was originally installed in the tabernacle in Moses time on Friday April 1st 1461BC. This foretold the date of Christs birth - Friday April 1st. (Ref: Klassen) All of this brings up an interesting question. Does God have a perfect timetable? Looking back in history it seems that he does. Dispensationalists say that the earth will remain for six days (6,000) years and the seventh day will begin the reign of God himself. Could very well be true, but this would mean that Christ will come back on April 1st 2025 (6,000 - 3975). If all of the numbers are right. Larry II |
