His voice leads us not into timid discipleship but into bold witness.

I'm convinced that the man who has learned to meditate upon the Lord will be able to run on his feet and walk in his spirit. Although he may be hurried by his vocation, that's not the issue. The issue is how fast his spirit is going. To slow it down takes a period of time.

God will never tell us to do something that gratifies the flesh.

We are either in the process of resisting God's truth or in the process of being shaped and molded by his truth.

We can be tired, weary and emotionally distraught, but after spending time alone with God, we find that He injects into our bodies energy, power and strength.

Charles Stanley

This is TOO true...may the Lord give us the mercy and grace to repent and place ourselves on the Master Potter's wheel---and stay there...

This also reminds me of Jill Austin's Master Potter Ministries story called "Clay in the Potter's Hands" of spiritual maturation equated with the potter's wheel (she is a potter). Clay in the Potters Handsby Jill Austin

God's flock does not exist for the welfare of the pastors; the pastors are appointed to serve the welfare of the sheep. Whether that entails removing burrs from the wool, cleansing and sanitizing the wounds, helping the ewes bear their lambs, shearing the heavy wool, or feeding and watering them, pastors serve the sheep as their first responsibility.

If our expenditure on comforts, luxuries, amusements, etc., is
up to the standard common among those with the same income as
our own, we are probably giving away too little. If our
charities do not at all pinch or hamper us, I should say they
are too small. There ought to be things we should like to do
and cannot because our charitable expenditure excludes them.

-- C. S. Lewis
