Cross

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Philippians 2:10&11

My pastor today said "Confess this now or later, because everyone is going to someday, and you don't want to wait until later to do it." I like the way he put this, and I thought I would share it. It really sank into me when I heard this. Praise God!

A bible is like a bank, it is not much good to you until it is opened. Author unknown

The race of mankind would perish did they cease to aid each
other. We cannot exist without mutual help. All therefore that
need aid have a right to ask it of their fellow-men; and no one
who has the power of granting it can refuse it without guilt.

-- Walter Scott

Charity is, indeed, a great thing, and a gift of God, and when
it is rightly ordered likens us unto God himself, as far as that
is possible; for it is charity which makes the man.

-- John Chrysostom

"We have tried to build faith in the Believer by condemning their wrong doings, and by preaching sin and condemnation.
No one ever gets faith that way. Anyone can see that this destroys what little faith one has,
All prayer for faith is nothing but unbelief. Unbelief grows out of a sense of unworthiness.
Now, what shall we do about it?
In the first place one must know clearly what he is in Christ. As a New Creation he has passed from death unto life. He now has Eternal Life, he is a son of God, an heir of God, and a joint-heir with Christ.
This gives him legal grounds for a perfect fellowship with the Father.
This fellowship is based on the fact that this New Creation has become the Righteousness of God in Christ.
There is now no condemnation. He stands complete in Christ."

E W Kenyon

Hence we must support one another, console one another, mutually
help, counsel, and advise.

God never intended His Church to be a refrigerator in which to
preserve perishable piety. He intended it to be an incubator in
which to hatch our converts.

-- F. Lincicome
