Ya I know I asked the question, but I knew the answer I just like to ask anyway.
![]() As for the age thing. I think it's quite silly to set an official age unless the church makes it clear that it is "approximately" such an age. |

First there is scripture:
Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: Once we are dead it is to late to change our minds and this life is our chance to decide if we want to be with God. Secindly the age of accountablitiy is not caetain. Jesus said suffer not the little children to come unto me indication they were His. Some consider 13 the age of accountability as it was the age the Hebrews entered inot manhood.Scripture indicates that the Israelites who could not enter into God's promised land beciase of unblief establish such an ageat twenty: Num 32:11 Surely none of the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me: Num 32:12 Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite, and Joshua the son of Nun: for they have wholly followed the LORD. Num 32:13 And the LORD'S anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of the LORD, was consumed. When it comes to knowing God we are told that " to whom much is given much is required" so we can presumably flip that coin and to whom less is given less is required. God is faithful and will not loose one that will have Him. When it comes to our personal lives we must understand that non of us is perfect or sinless at any given moment, we cannot go to heaven based on our righteousness but indeed Jesus Christ Himself has become our righteousness. God is not sitting in heaven waiting for us to mess up so He can condemn us, In fact the opposite is true as He paid an aweful price for our salvation and Jesus is constantly making intercession for us. |
