Okay, I need advise...My DH wants snowshoes for Christmas. I know virtually NOTHING about snowshoes! Can anyone give me advise?

Sure - used them lots when I was with the Sheriff's Department on winter Search and Rescue missions.

The Beaver Tail would be appropriate for those conditions. Now, just determine if you need heavy duty back country or the recreational grade as far as strength goes for lasting several seasons.
