How can I make my own holy water?
Is there a special kind of water I have to get in order to make holy water? Is there a special kind of prayers I have to say in order to make the water “Holy Water”? I want to make Holy Water because I want to spray that Holy Water in my room to get rid of all the demonic spirits in my room. Hopefully trying to reduce demonic attacks on me. |

I get ours from the tap downstairs.
I would recommend going to a Catholic or Lutheran church, as they will have Holy Water readily available, and speaking with the Pastor about it. I can only speak for myself, but if you were within a reasonable proximity, I would be happy to visit your home and bless it with you. But I would also ask that we spend some time discussing your situation, and how we can call upon Almighty God for protection, rather than attempting to fix things ourselves. I'm not saying that having your home blessed is a bad idea, but please give serious consideration to the power and the promise of the Word of God, and not to the water. Hebrews 13:5 Ephesians 6:10-18 This is where the true power lies, not in the water alone.

I don't understand much of the whole Catholic viewpoint but couldn't holy water be holy coke, or holy orange juice or whatever they make it? It is my understanding that the only difference between holy water and regular water is that one has been prayed over by a priest. Am I correct or way off base?

You are correct that it has been blessed, but it cannot be coke, or anything other than water.
Scripture is very specific in that it uses the term "water" and not "fluid" or "liquid" "Holy" means sacred, or set apart for the service of God. Again, the water is just that,...water. In fact, in our faith, we bless the font, bowl, shell, ewer, which hold the water, but not actually the water itself. |

OK I am going to show my ignorance now and my failure to study the Bible as much as I need to. But can someone point me to the spots in scripture where it discusses holy water.

Well said Boanerges.
da_man, God used water to clense the earth in the Great Flood, and it was also that very water which saved Noah and his family. Again, with the crossing of the Red Sea, water both purged the evil, and saved the righteous. These are a few Biblical examples of why we use water. But remember, Noah, and the Israelites would not have been saved, if not for the Power, Will, and Word of God. I hope that helps clarify things a little.

Leonidis,What you need to do is go through your house and rebuke satan in "the name of Jesus"~
"satan, I rebuke in the name of Jesus". "And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son." (words of Jesus) John 14:13 |

Holy Water is a denominational tradition. What would probably be more appropriate is Anointing Oil. After all, Jesus Christ (Christos) in Greek means, 'The Anointed One'.
Pick up some 'Extra Virgin Olive Oil' at your market and a small vial with a stopper from your pharmacy. Place some oil in the vial and in prayer, ask God to bless the oil and promise that you will only use the oil in that vial for anointing. That's all there is to it. |
