Boanerges is on a distinguished road
Default A busy week!

It has indeed been a busy week. Between supervising my sons putting up a shed , working on some home projects and assisting getting the old homestead ready for holiday company the family has been steadily working!

Associate Chaplain is on a distinguished road
Default Also a Busy Week

Thank you for creating a place for one to debrief. With working the ED ( Emergency Department) and the rest of the hospital, this week, I went home and ate way to many extra meals seaking relief. The number of critical patients and the amount of full arrests I worked was off the chart. Some may say this is a Hospital Chaplain's job, and yes it is, but this does not mean doing so makes it easy. We do not want to openly express our feelings but there are times we can not help but to do so. I had to request so many debriefs it was unreal. The sad thing is I can not do a debrief since I am part of the experience and I am to also be debriefed.

Thank you for your time. Yes this little bit of jabber did help me.

Yes as I think now of the busyness of the season and people running around ( and sometimes aimlessly) I cannot help thinking.... All this energy is waisted on frivouslous things and meaningless things of materializm and the tons of money spent and people going in debt over all this. My ,My ,.... If they only knew the real meaning of the season... slowed down, reflected and enjoyed the times with their families and friends instead of making it a stressed out afair.

OOps..... my soapbox for the day.

And yes Chaplain it must be a busy ime for you but a different kind of busy.... a busy going about the Father's bussiness and that is the true meaning of Christmas and what this season is all about. I pray that you will have people who will take time to help you and all that you do will be a blessing as I am sure it will be. God bless you Chaplain.
