I got this weird question regarding evil people going to heaven through repentance.
Assume there is a person called “Mr. Unbeliever” who does evil; assume he breaks all commandments to gain financial profits. He heard about Jesus and the Messiah, but he doesn’t want to believe in Jesus because he doesn’t have a clear knowledge about bible and what Jesus said about salvation. So “Mr. Unbeliever” believes that if he follows the ten commandments, he might not get all the Mercedes that he wants drive. Furthermore, Instead of worshiping the Christian GOD, “Mr. Unbeliever” worships spirits and other Gods. So “Mr. Unbeliever” is NOT a Christian. His friend “Mark” told him, “hey man you are doing lots sin, don’t earn money by breaking commandments and abominating GOD because, you will not go to heaven. Then “Mr. Unbeliever” replies to him, “I will be alright… I need to repent, if I need to enter to heaven, so before I die, in my death bed, I will repent and ask for forgiveness for all my sins, so I can go to heaven. But till then I cannot follow the commandments instead break all the commandments to get all my Mercedes.” After hearing this, his friend, Mark, went speechless. What will happen to people like “Mr. Unbeliever”? Will he go to heaven by following his way life and his way of repentance? Cheers |

Truthfully as long as one breathes there is hope but that person would be not only playing russian roulette with his soul but if he was not sincere he would burn. Who promised anyone tommorow? Who promised anyone they would have tme in a sick bed?

Luk 12:15-21 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

I know someone who said he would get into heaven if he repented on his death bed, so he would continue to do the bad things he does and wait until hes on his death bed.... What would happen to him ?

B2LY..... What do you think would happen ? Ask him how he would do that if he was killed instantly in a car crash or had a heart attack.and died instantly.

Leonidus-
Everyone has perfect examples for this person to think about. It is appointed unto all men once to die. But God don't say how per person, thus, they may not be on a "death bed", but killed, as mentioned, instantly. If Grace be of Grace, works is no more works. But if works be of works, then Grace is no more Grace and Jesus Christ died on the cross in vain. Born2LoveYou- Also, God shows even if we have a "head knowledge" of God's Word to understand what must be done, it takes the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit to have the true "faith" in our heart, to seek repetance, ask Christ into our heart and accept Him as our Lord and Savior. Knowing the words and simply saying them does not produce or make the true "heart" committment needed to recieve Salvation. God Bless!! |

such a man disgusts me. God cannot be mocked or fooled for he knows the hearts of all men. Repentance takes time and effort. If he tries to repent on the 11th hour, how much time can he really afford? By then his heart will be so hardened that he might not choose to repent.

Know Jesus, Know Heaven.
Heaven is a prepared place for a prepared people.

One would hope that at some point Mr. Unbeliever would be suddenly convicted and driven to true repentence, even if that should be in his last seconds of consciousness. If so, he would indeed go to Heaven based on Jesus' works and ways, not his own.
His own way, it is doubtful that, even if he were granted the time, he would find genuine repentence in his heart. Rather, it would be his final willful act attempting to manipulate God for his own selfish benefit. |
