Jesus Christ was born into my heart 40 plus years ago. As far as His earthly delivery I tend to agree with Thomas, below is an interesting link with some thoughts on the subject.

Default Here is something very interesting to consider

Good morning all,
I typed in a search engine two days ago......."the origin of Christmas".....because I really want to know. Because I believe even Christians might be wrong about celebrating this holiday......blindly following a "man-made" tradition that in reality is leading them into deep debt and might not REALLY be honoring God.
I do not belong to any church. I do not believe that God would want denominations and I don't believe the church as it is today is what God intended. I think we are missing something vital. I am a believer in Jesus Christ as my Savior and I believe in the Word of God so I do not promote this or any denomination....but I did read this information and it changed me. I will not celebrate christmas or easter for that matter again.

http://www.thercg.org/books/ttooc.html

They were pagan holidays. I am wanting to know the REAL GOD......HIM.....not what man tells me He is....so I am trying with my whole heart to find out. I am looking into the Messianic Jewish truths. Jesus was a practicing Jew and Rabbi and my heartfelt desire is to be like Him.
I recommend doing your OWN research if you want and also......read about the origin of Easter which was named after oestre....a goddess of pagan religion.
I believe it's time to get real about our faith....and worship in Spirit and in Truth. No more blindly following traditions of men or satan for that matter. Seems to me if the whole world is going one way.....then Christians should NOT be going that way! I have turned away and although it FEELS foreign and strange to go against what everyone else does......it also feels very right. Christmas does nothing much anymore but promote debt, stress, materialism, strife between believers and non-believers, depression and guilt when one cannot financially give gifts. Not to mention all the abuse, alcoholism and destruction it brings through drunk driving etc. I wonder who is promoting this holiday....God.......or His enemy?

Thnaks for that Judy. My family and I choose to celebrate Jesus Christ and have nothing to do with the old festivals. I am simply pleased that a few days a year even lost sheep stop and think about Him if only for a brief time.
While Jesus was indeed a Jew and much of His earthly ministry to the Jews (there is much insight to be gained thru the priciples of Judism and how it reflects in our Christian faith)- Jesus fulfilled the entire old covenant and our admonitions are mostly found in the New Covenenant. Though I might add once one understands who Christ is we can see types and shadows of Him thru the entire Old Testament. Many blessings and a great day- Larry.

Hi Larry,
How do you celebrate Christmas? Do you have trees, lights, gifts, turkey and or ham and just pretend it's not based on the pagan holidays? Or.....do you not have all those things and just have another day of honoring God in your life?
Jesus was the ONLY one who could ever fulfill the law....the ONLY sinless one and I'm so glad I don't have to try to live like an old testament Jew! I am curious tho, how does a Messianic Jew worship? I know they must in all likelihood, celebrate the same feasts that Jesus did and no longer have to maintain the law. I am totally re-examining my faith because it is THEE most important thing in my life and I want to know that I AM worshiping in Spirit and in Truth.
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
Judy

Thanks.....and I wholeheartedly agree with you. I admired your testimony young man........I am searching for the REAL God myself....
Jesus said that the path is narrow and FEW find it....well......then it must be that there are millions of professed Christians who don't find it then. I sincerely want to find the narrow way....

Searching for the REAL God? Finding the narrow path is easy. Jesus gave us all the answers we ever needed, but even then, everyone kept asking the wrong questions.

Jesus said the only way to get to God was through Him. NOthing that we do, just through Jesus. We are also told that we are to Love God with all our hearts, mind, and being, and love everyone as much as we love ourselves.

In short, if you know love, you know God, because God IS love. The only real complication I've found is that so many talk about love, but so few seem to understand what it really is. We aren't talking about puppy love, lust, or even true love. We are talking about perfect love.

I understand what you are saying.
I know that Jesus is the WAY....the TRUTH and the LIFE!
I guess I am seeking after God in a new way. I guess I'm no longer willing to follow the dictates of man who say (for example) There are 7 steps to receiving God's Joy......10 ways to prosperity.......21 sure ways to God's Healing. It's seems so much like "self-help" formulas. I am not content any longer with what I know of God...
I don't like the regimented way man has formed "church". 5 minutes of meet and greet, 20 minutes of worship, 60 minutes of listening to ONE man teach HIS interpretation. And through all of that.....I found a little of God. I learned some. But I am now in a sincere, passionate search to really KNOW my God. I cannot accept less.
He is so much more than love.....He is also wrath and justice.....and a healer and a creator....and the Lion of Judah and the Bright and Morning Star......and FEARSOME.....and the ALMIGHTY....
I am afraid I am not able to verbalize my search and my struggling properly so that you might understand. Maybe my faith is just weak right now and I cannot find the God I need Him to be.
I know for me, I MUST know Him......and the power of His resurrection. I believe there is a deeper knowledge.....a deeper understanding.......a way that few find and it is that way that I seek.
