But he said irregardless of all of that Christmas gets people thinking about Jesus. If we can get people to at least open their minds to the thought of Jesus we are one step closer to making believers out of them.
I agree with this~

Jesus was born on Wed April 1st 5BC according to Frank Klassen an Engineer who laid out the timeline of the Bible graphically on his drawing board. I treasure his now out-of-print book titled The Chronology of the Bible. I have never had problem one with his work. Adam was Created on Friday April 1st 3975BC. (Yes April fools day) From the creation of Adam to the baptism of Jesus (the second Adam) was 4,000 years.

The timeline from Alexander until now is very accurately known. Klassen calculated backwards from Alexander to Adam. The Bible is replete with countless references to time.

Yes Violet, the sacrificial sheep at Jesus' birth were near the city - an indication of the coming celebration of Passover. Normally, they were not allowed near the city because of the odor. He was crucified on Friday April 15th 29AD.

Trivia: The incense from the alter of incense in the temple was so strong that it was said to cause the goats to sneeze as far away as Jericho.

Be it far from me to try and take the tradition of Christmas from anyone, I was raised Catholic and celebrated December 25 as the birth of Jesus, but I do understand that these are not true facts. I would have to go back into the Bible, but I believe it states that Jesus was born around 6 months after his cousin John the Baptist. I also believe it does give a specific time when John was born and 6 months from that time would bring the birth of Jesus (Yeshua) around the time that Thomas has posted. I would say late AUG to late Sept, or October.
As Pastor Gary has posted, Christmas is a pagen holiday, I do what I feel I have to and I will not judge others for what they do.

Without a doubt it is a pagan holiday, but please don't change it - I love Christmas exactly where it is. If you follow the timeline I outlined - Christmas and easter would be 15 days apart. Wouldn't want to see that happen.

I agree with that, because it was the feast of trumpets, same as John who was born on the Feast day.

Say Thomas, would you have a link for us please?

What a shame
I used to know a place on the net where Jewish Christians proved the date you quoted, but I lost it

Thanks anyway....
