Marriage!
God instituted marriage and gave the pattern: 1. Leave parents 2. Cleave unto each other 3. Become one 4. Conceal nothing, unashamed Two kinds of marriages: The Legal ceremony; The Heart ceremony. Only the marriage which conforms to God's pattern has God joined together.

Hurt and bitterness, maybe sometimes, but more directed at my own stupid mistakes, I blame nobody for my own faults.
But actually, I was just being silly. I still have faith in the power and honor of marriage as a God-ordained union.

I have a question about marriage. Does the Bible mention anything about exchanging rings? My mother-in-law asked me this a while back and I couldn't give her a definitive answer.

Biblical marriage would have been largely based on Jewish traditions which had a lot more to do with exchanging gifts and livestock rather than rings IIRC. It could be Biblical though, or it could be initially a pagan thing, though ribbons seem to have more significance in those ceremonies.
