we had a wonderful message from a guest speaker about obedience, fear of God and why we fail to be close to God. James 4:16 says "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you." This is an open invitation from the Creator of the universe to get closer to God. If you were to be invited by the president, would you reject his/her invitation. What about your Creator?

You should make the first move and He is ever yearning to come closer to you. Ok now when God calls you, you must obey it immediately. No waiting. Abraham was asked to sacrifice his son and he didn't wait to check if the voice from God was real. He obeyed God and took his son to the mountains in the morning. If you have a calling, then get out and do it immediately (this goes for me too).

There's more. It was very interesting and mind opening. By the way, the speaker was John Bevere.

Thank you for sharing this Jeff. Most churches today just speak the warm fuzzies so they will not upset anyone. These people are being robbed of their Salvation.

That is a lovely message.

At my church, well in the kids church, the kids learnt that God nevers breaks any promises and we sang one of my fav kids song called Rainbow by HillSongs Kids. I love that song.
It is true that God nevers breaks any promises he makes with you.
