Default acceptable collectibles for christians

hi i know obvious occult items like ouija baord and some others are not supposed to be collected by christians but how about star wars figurines? i understand that some star wars figurines are a little evil looking but is it alright for christians to possess/collect them as a hobby? thanks.

Occult items to Star Wars figurines? I'm failing to see a connection. Though, I do remember when the last episode came out, I had some people come to my door and try to convince me to not go see the movies because they were evil.

I was polite, but laughed a bit at the attempt since at the time I was getting ready to go to a concert so I was dressed up in all my favorite "goth gear" and have to wonder what was going through their heads. At the same time, the biggest Star Wars geek I know happens to belong to the same denomination (if that is the right word), so I think it was just something this small group decided to do.

Otherwise, I've not heard anyone condemn collectible Star Wars figures before.

Do you have some personal convictions about this? Because I'm not a big supporter of legalism or the idea that we have to spend every moment of our lives in constant meditation of the Bible and ONLY things that are Godly.

There ARE indeed circumstances where collecting figures could be a stumbling block for a Christian. Cases where you have attached other sins to it. Coveting, stealing, idol worshiping, etc... But that isn't necessarily the case, and I think in general, is rarely the case.

Unless you are bowing before and worshiping them, enjoy yourself!
