I've heard stories from my family about beheadings, arrests, saving indians, ocean crossings, name changes & similar things, but I don't have much proof of these things. So when my DH family started filling me in on their provable family history, I was mesmerised. They have such a rich history that I'm jealous.
Anyone else have a great family history, or are you like me, a heinz 57 that can't prove or disprove much?

Okay, rumored:
on my moms side...My grandfather once saved a chiefs son from drowning in N.Dakota...My great uncle was beheaded by the Russians in Odessa... True: My grandmother had a sister who died aboard ship while crossing the Atlantic ocean...My grandfather was a pilot in the Army Air Corps (I loved his stories) Rumored on my dads side of the family : my grandfather had another family in Utah...he's spend 6 months there and 6 months with my grandma. There is supposedly someone who was hanged for stealing horses...no name given True: My dad was forced into the Army in the 60's by a judge who gave him a choice between jail & the service...(He has great stories too) My Dh's family has a much richer past...His father is the great- grandson of a very important person in the NWMP (that's the original RCMP)(that's a cool story...provable too!)...He (my FIL) is also the son of someone who was too old to serve in WWII! When he was born his father was in his 60's! His (my FIL) great-grandparents saw Lewis & Clark...The expedition camped on their property!!!! On my MIL side, her father worked with Tom Mix before he became famous...Her Aunt was killed by the mob in Vegas...

spiritual ,passages.jesus was on about abrahams seed not doing his will which was Gods.the other passage was abrahams children who thought better,and knew there father abraham and did his will.
