I heard last night that within the "Christian Church" there are 32,000 denominations. Tonight I was doing a study and with all these denominations I believe they would have to fall in one of the seven churches described in the Book of Revelation.
Here is a list of the seven, click open the link and scroll down and you can read a description of each church. Can you locate the church where your heart belongs? 1) Ephesus (Revelation 2:1-7) - the church that had forsaken its first love (2:4). (2) Smyrna (Revelation 2:8-11) - the church that would suffer persecution (2:10). (3) Pergamum (Revelation 2:12-17) - the church that needed to repent (2:16). (4) Thyatira (Revelation 2:18-29) - the church that had a false prophetess (2:20). (5) Sardis (Revelation 3:1-6) - the church that had fallen asleep (3:2). (6) Philadelphia (Revelation 3:7-13) - the church that had endured patiently (3:10). (7) Laodicea (Revelation 3:14-22) - the church with the lukewarm faith (3:16). ![]() Who they represent in this day and agehttp://www.raptureready.com/soap/rr-seven-churches.html

My Chapel Charter is Non-Denominational Christian. Our tenets are fully based upon the first century AD teachings of the Churches of both Smyrna and Philadelphia and we teach from the texts provided in the Original Manuscripts in Hebrew, Aramaic and 'street' Greek.
We answer to no one other than God Almighty and His Son, Jesus Christ. Nice to have them as our Board of Regents!!

I belong to the church of Jesus Christ my Lord. It takes many forms and comes in many flavors. Some seem to feel superior to others but what good is a body when all the parts are attacking and belittling each other- that sounds like confusion. Denominationalism and non denom groups that are their own denoms are schisms in the body are were preached against the great Apostle even when they first tried to form in his day. Iam I of Paul, am I of Apollos, no I am of Jesus
Sorry if this went off topic. All the rest being said I love all who belong to Jesus and I persnally go to a church with no denominal affiliations. Blessings , bother Larry |

My Church is too active and dynamic and I've never seen another one like that in my life. I am serious and sometimes I wonder if they've gone too far.
But the members are so dedicated and prayerful that it made me think that God does not look at how good the Church looks or how much stomping you do or how much silent you are. It's about how much you live Christ like and how dedicated you are to Him. Stomping/Dancing comes as an outward expression of your excitement in His presence fueled the power of the Holy Spirit. ![]() If you want to check out our Church website, it's www.planetshakers.com

I belong to the Indian (Native American) Shaker Regligion, started in Washington State by an Indian man. He was very sick, and he died...but before he was buried he came back with a message from Jesus. He brought with him the ceremonies and songs for a new religion that Jesus wanted us to follow, a religion all our own
![]() Back in the days of the early reservations, the Indian people were tormented. But the religion endured. We were told that we couldn't practice our religion anymore. So in secret hiding places, we still worshipped God and Jesus. Those caught were jailed. Eventually, we were allowed to practice (singing and dancing to Jesus) only when there was a soldier or government authority present. Then later on, we were allowed to practice only when children weren't present (the thinking behind this was that if no children learned the religion it would die out - but it didn't). Recently, I returned to the church. I had horrible back spasms and it was agony to walk. I took a seat in the center of the room to "receive help". The shakers worked on me, and one of them leaned in and told me..."Jesus wants to help you with your back problems, but you need to open your heart to him and ask to receive his help!" I had told her nothing of my back problems, as we traveled to Washington from Central Oregon to attend church. The Indian Shake is not related to the Quaker Shaker religion, although there are startling similarities. Both stomp their feet and dance and ring bells. Both of them shake or shiver when touched by the holy spirit. Ours worships God and Jesus (not sure about the Quakers). The bible was not allowed into the shaker religion in the early years, as the white man told us that the religion was an abomination. Later on, the bible was brought in. It's a very strict religion that has changed over the years, as time progresses. We aren't supposed to go to movies, listen to radio, watch TV, smoke, drink alcohol, do drugs, think "bad" thoughts (if you know what I mean). New members of the religion are protected and sit at the front of the church. All members wear white during the services - men are allowed to wear bluejeans. Women wear white blouses and skirts.

Another church to add to the list.
Antioch was a great church in the first century. This church was blessed with both Jewish and Gentile disciples of Jesus who were very talented. These disciples were the first followers of Jesus called Christians. Many of these new Christians taught and evangelized others in their community. These "many others" remind us that the power of the early Church was not limited to its well-known leaders, but also involved the widespread dedication of its members to minister and to use the gifts that God had given them to serve others.
