I'm sure many if not everyone has heard of the Mayan Calendar prediction for 2012, if not it states that December 2012 will come the "End of the Wrold".
But, those of you who study God's Word know that the bible says that this is a world without end. Ephesians 3:21 21Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. There was a special recently on the History channel with others that agree that something important is going to take place around this date. Now Jack Van Impe is climbing aboard the band wagon to 2012, and coming out with a book around January or February. He is not claiming that it is the "End of the World" because he knows there is no end, but he does claim that something important may take place. I get my information from a much Higher Wisdom so these eartly predictions are not what I share, but I just find it interesting that so many are surrounding this date. Does anyone have any interest in this date? I do have some information on this topic if anyone is interested. The date I look forward to is the "Wedding date:.

Many such theories are running through the Internet. These are not Biblical prophesy, for we are told by Christ Himself in Matthew 24 (KJV) and especially Matthew 24:36 (KJV), "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only."
Or for English language clarity, Matthew 24 (NLT) and especially Matthew 24:36 (NLT), "However, no one knows the day or the hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows." All the things listed in Matthew 24 (KJV) or Mathew 24 (NLT) must come to pass before the Seventh Trump. While some believe that the end is near, we are also given the Parable of the Fig Tree in that chapter... we are told by God to know and understand it. The entire study is found in Matthew 24 (KJV) and Matthew 24 (NLT) as well as in Mark 13 (KJV) and Mark 13 (NLT). Please read both complete chapters in whichever text version is best for you to understand because it is God's Word for you to KNOW it. We must never try to out think or second guess God. However, we should all be prepared as if it will take place tomorrow. Blessings to all.

Thank you Pastor for those words of wisdom. I did not post this because of belief, but for research purposes. I stand firmly on the Word of God and there is no other on which the future is known.

This has bugged me for a long time.
2012 is supposed to be the end of the world, there's concrete evidence for it all around us. It's terrifying to read all that's out there, and how it all coincides with this date. Doomsayers are pointing their fingers at their calendars and reminding us to be prepared, and they have documents and historical fact to back this all up. I read a lot of it. But then I found something interesting in a used bookstore a while back...it was written by several scientists of the age who all claimed that the world would end when the planets became in alignment back in the 80s. They presented their arguments, and then backed them up with facts. Gravity, space, time, they were all there. It was inarguable (sp?) how right all of the evidence was. Pick a day...any day, so long as it's in the future. You can scrape up enough evidence to claim that it's going to be the end of the world, if you dug around hard enough. If you're a good researcher and can connect dots with any sixth degree of separation, you can even get other people to believe that it's going to be the end of the world. On November 28th (this month), they're going to fire up the strongest particle collider ever built to "remake" a substance that hasn't existed in this universe since (they say) the big bang. I was a big Stephen King fan back in high school, and for those of you who don't know...The Mist has been made into a movie. In The Mist, a particle accelerator (if I'm right) punched a hole through our dimension into another and allowed all sorts of creepy-crawlies to enter. November 28th is going to be the end of the world!, I could run around screaming. But then there's enough people out there predicting the end of the world. I'd only be one in a very large handful of people. The truth is up above, given by our brothers and sisters in Christ. Only the Father knows when. God bless everybody! ![]() |

It is true, Christ himself does not know when He is returning~ But He did give us signs and wonders to look for, as stated in the Bible. Yeah, WW, I remember that planet alignment thing coming because it was on one of my birthdays! |

Most generations of Christians believed that the end of the world would come in their lifetime. As society deteriorates, the coming tribulation appears realistic to every generation of God's people. However, as scripture tells us, no one knows the time. How atrocious can the world become? I don't believe we've seen anything yet. I don't believe we're aware of just how terrible things can get. Christians of old would have believed abortion to be unthinkable, as well as open, proud homosexuality. I believe society is going to be utterly hellish beyond imagination before Christ finally comes back. We haven't yet in my opinion scratched the surface of the disgusting perversions that man is capable of. Nor do I believe we've seen enough war yet to indicate the beginning of the end. Shortly before the tribulation begins, evil and good will perform a complete 180---which we're seeing unfold as we speak. Absolutely anything good will be deemed evil, and anything evil will be deemed good(Isaiah 5:20). Satan has little time left, and he's not wasting it.
But the Lord could at any moment---today, right now in fact. Or he could come in another 100 years; who knows. All we can do is be ye ready. God Bless you |

One thing for sure - sensational and exciting Biblical fiction sure sells a lot of books. There have been many who have become rich by selling this stuff. They just have to make sure that their doomday dates are far out enough, so they can sell all their books.
You would think by now we would have gotten the message - like Pastor Gary says. |
