I had troubles with this a while back, so I started reading up on it, and here's what I came out with.

God isn't on any timelines. Nobody can place a deadline on God because he is, after all, God. So He will answer prayers in His own good time.

God does indeed answer all prayers. But I have to be attentive in listening and keeping watch for his answer. He is control of all things, and His answer can come anytime, anywhere.

Sometimes, the best answer is none at all. That is, in a way, His answer. He knows all things, and He knows what I need even before I can ask Him for it.

If I pray for something and have faith and believe that I've already received what I'm asking for, then it'll be mine. That's what I like...because, as a Christian, I have to know my own heart inside-out. I have to search my spirit and being to know whether or not what I'm asking for is something that I really need.

If I pray for a new Corvette, the answer will probably be no. That's something that I can live without. And as a Christian, I would need to do more reading and soul-searching through the bible to understand that I shouldn't be praying for a new Corvette in the first place.

If I pray for someone not to die when they're writhing in agony on their death bed, the answer will probably be no. God knows when one of His children are in great suffering, and He knows when to call them home.

But if I pray for strength and light as a shield when I'm surrounded by wickedness...I can count on it being granted to me. If I pray for the will to keep on doing good for other people when I'm dead-tired...He will lift me up and give me renewed strength in a heartbeat.

I love to pray, because sometimes those answers just astonish me!

Yes! Just not always with the response we want...

No is an answer...so is not yet, or wait. We may not like it, but He did answer us.

Default prayer

1. God says He will not hear the prayers of some.
2. We must ask according to His will.
3. God does not say when He will answer.
4. Sometimes the answer is NO.
