I believe I read somewhere in the Bible that spirits of relatives can be passed down especially as they pass away. Another way it talks about it is (curses) of relatives can be passed down.
Psalms 91 my favorite chapter reassures us that we have God's protection as long as we stay close to him & keep prayer & faith. Also prayer in 2, 3, or more is stronger than one person. I'm sure the Bible talks about this, just not sure where.

My story:
Recently I watched my grandmother (whom was close to God pass away) from cancer of the lungs (she was a smoker). As my grandmother was in her last weeks, bed ridden at home.. my Aunt had been staying with grandfather & grandmother to help them out & spend time with them before she passed. I felt a few things going on, when my mom had told me Grandmother was starting to slip away & was fighting the air in her sleep.... I told my mom I felt grandmother was fighting evil spirits that were hindering her. I asked my mom to pray psalms 91 & continueslly play christian music for grandmother in her room. Suddenly grandmother was more relaxed & was no longer fighting the air.
Then grandmother started to slip into a coma. She told my mom she could see angels in the corner of her room. That is the last words we heard form grandmother as she went into a coma 4-5days before she passed away. Grandmother decided not to have life support in her last days but to pass away naturally. My mom & I visited her while she was in coma. Something told me she would pass away within hours of me visiting. Strangely enough she did, 5hours later, that night.

My aunt that had been staying there..... she had not lived the best life in the Lord at all. 5 months later from my grandmothers passing my Aunt was diagnosed with cancer. It was already in stage 4 & was a rapid cancer, by the time they found it, & she was told she wouldn't have long to live at all. I have a feeling that the evil spirits (of cancer..disease, etc) may have passed ontu my aunt who wasn't protected, from my grandmother. I don't feel it was totally a coincidence. My aunt passed away 3 days ago we didn't find out until tonight. I told my mom to pray protection over our family so that none of the spirits were passed ontu us.
Can anyone relate to this? I'm pretty sure there are verses in the Bible on this subject.

Hi opinionated_morality. When we find ourselves in Christ we find a new heratige as we now have a new bloodline. Part of that heratige is freedom from all curses.
I will be praying for your Aunt. It is important to understand that though she "had not lived the best life in the Lord at all" all she need do now is surrender her heart to Jesus and ask forgiveness. Mercy is as close as they cry of her heart. Perhaps God has placed you there for just this moment. He may well use you to lead her into His arms as He has given us the ministry of reconciliation.

I am probably off track here but because of a recent event I am here. I just lost a Grandnephew who was 28 days old. He is the oldest of twins both born weighing 1 pound. Levi had to have his intestents removed, developed many other health issues, and finally died when his kidneys failed. His brother seems to be doing better and will most likely come home from the hospital in good health. Both of these boys looked so much like their Grandfather that I can not help but feel he was with them at their birth. The parents are in shock and will be for quite some time and already the mother is saying she can not have any more children, because she could not go through another death. The parents are both 23 years old and must deal with this the rest of their lives. I just pray they do not have health issues because of this. Thank you for permitting me to vent.
