It's always interesting to hear Testimonies how the Lord snatch you... ((((( He is a Fisher of men))))))) you know.
So how did you get saved, What brought you to Him... Yes we know the Holy Spirit did it... Express yourself       :smi le_anim:

I grew up Christian, but I hardly ever prayer, maybe only when I really needed something. Then I just stopped believing. I'm not sure what sparked it, I was laying in bed a few months back, thought about my life and what I had become. I said a small prayer, and it lead to a very long session of my praying, breaking down, crying, asking for forgivness. I must say I'm closer to God then ever, and I'm very happy about it.

Thank You, Christ is always looking after His Fold, especially the ones that go a stray...

I was born into a church. Went to the same church for 14 years then went to the same kind of church 10 more years.
When we left Ohio we tried out some churches and were never satisfied. I think I have become anti religious and more spiritual because of it. I would love a church to attend, but it has to be one I believe in~ I feel I have always known, loved and worshiped God but I realize that my religion actually got in the way of my spiritual walk with God. I now have a one on one relationship with Him and have never felt closer to Him or to the Truth! |

Boy that sounds like my story except my family never went to the CAtholic Church unless someone died or we were invited to a wedding... The very few times we attended everyone was very cold... Keep in mind my mom was divorced twice and felt isolated back then in the 1950's... I think the Catholic Church has changed alot since then... AS an adult, after I was saved I didn't attend a church for many years until in my mid thirties... Then I stopped again till the Lord kept nagging at me that I must enter a fellowship. He just would not drop it... So He gave me instructions on the type of church he wanted me to go ,and I gave Him a list of church behaviors I wanted or I would not go... My husband as a gift paid $100.00 gift certificate at a high class Salon here in Vegas for my birthday... The stylist just happened to be an on fire Christian and during the styling the Lord told me to ask her about her church  Well wouldn't you know it  her church was what I had described to the Lord, was the only type of church I would go to... As she spoke it filled all the criterias I has ask for... SO I had no choice...   God is sneaky sometimes... I believe Violet you are rich in beauty, grace and wisdom... You should be blessing a church the right church if your health will allow it... Ask the Lord Papa, and he might be sneeky to you too! Not just any CHurch but one of His... You are a minister to CFS, though... Love sis

I find them quiet interesting how the Lord manuvers circumstances to get us...

As a child...2nd grade...it was hearing that someone loved me, and would love me forever. This is when I first accepted Jesus.
At the age of 12...I was baptised because I had a dream that convinced me that He really was real, so was satan. It was now my choice who to follow. At the age of 17...I was reminded that my church, friends, and family weren't the reason why I was a Christian. I rededicated my life to Him, and attended discipleship training. It seems that every 5 years he calls me closer. It's almost like clockwork. At 22, I realised that my new born son would need to be taught the ways of Christ...I dove into the word. At 27, He called me to use the talents He gave me to tell the story of His sacrifice. At 32, I learned that it's notabout what others see in me, but about my heart...What Jesus sees. I'm no longer afraid of what people think of me. It was liberating. I'm 35 now, and as I post this, I'm reminded that Christianity is a walk with Jesus...It's a journey, and it will only be complete when I'm finally home with Him.
