I was born into a catholic family, never understood a word, it was all Greek (literally). At the age of 6 we started attending a Presbyterian church. I could understand what they were saying, they spoke English and by 8 I was saved. I also started reading and memorizing the bible, I won a contest for most verses memorized. At about 10, we started attending a non-denominational pentecostal type church, with this church, I had a full immersion baptism. I have had many ups and downs in my life, but God has saved me through it all. He saved me from falling down a well, going over a waterfall, getting trapped under a logjam in a river, saved me from a war and most recently, he saved me from driving over a cliff in a most miraculous way. So you see, I wake up every morning and thank God that I'm still alive for it is only by his amazing grace.

Michael, I also had a time ( a long time) wrestling with evil for years...

I had a big struggle in my mind, until it drained me of all strength, then I couldn't do anything for 5 long years...

demons almost killed me mentally and physically...

Then from this dark valley....

the Lord having me on His shoulders.... walked me to the top of the mountain, and I was out...

Now, I rebuked the evil one, by my testimony and prayers for others...

the evil one is trying to destroy so they have no power in our Fathers Kingdom...

If he cannot kill... he handicaps... his evilness is beyond our understanding...

I see you are a good man...

I didn't grow up in a religeous family, or was taught anything.
I thought Christians were silly, stupid, foolish, blind, haters who followed a weak god that didnt even exist.
Mostly I didn't even think a god existed. then around 15ish I thought "There might be a god, but obviously he would be good and accept me since I'm good enough."
I loved ghost hunting and psychic powers.
I was slightly spiritual but never really into it, and was then (about 17ish?) actually trying to disprove the possible existance of the Christian God.
Then I met my Girlfriend. She was (and still is) strongly Christian. I was thinking to myself, "Bah! I'll get her to see reason. She's smart she'll see the truth."
My family moved, I was then 18. Only able to visite my girlfriend rarely, but still talking a lot on the phone and AIM.
I was told a few years before by a psychic that I was more "aware" of spirits around me then normal people. And in htis new house, I often could sence somethin so strongly that I could identify where it was and its basic shape. Seeing faces and people out of the corner of my vision throughout the house. and was being followed most of the time by a specific thing which I was very afraid of.
All this was happening during the times my Girlfriend was trying to teach me about Christ and telling me about the _REAL_ truth. Sometimes while talking to her that one shadow would appear, and I could "see" it crawling along the rafters in my garage. She told me to repeat after her as she read from the Bible. I just thought "fine, not like it will do anything" then I repeated after her. and the instant I started it was gone.
This happened a few times over months.
She told me to pray for Christ to come into my heart, to call out to Him. One night I tried it. I layed in bed and started praying. I was watching this thing, like a dream but I was awake and still contious of the words I was saying, maybe a Vision it was? I dunno. but I was rising on a large freight elivator, then I reached the top and a man was standing there dressed in white. He pointed to this very big and bright white light to my right. I started moving towards it while still facing that man. but every step it was harder to get closer to the light. eventually it was like I was pushing against a solid wall at the edge of the light. then I gave up. the man put down his arm. and everyhting changed. I could see fire in the foreground and background. and another man in a very nice looking red suit was laughing at me, then I stopped praying and sat up.
(In said vision/dream/whatever several images were from things I had already seen before, the walls along the elivator were like form a game, the "devil" was like form a comedy sketch I had seen before)
After all that I was leaning veeeery close to accepting the Truth, but was still holding back from some kind of irrational fear of... somehting. Then one night I was in the garage again talking to my Girlfriend and that same Deamon that had been stalking me for months now was there, but, now it was in the corner, trapped behind some kind of invisible wall I could tell was there. She told me this was another sign and asked me to assect it, and so I did, she told me the Lords Prayer and I said it aloud.
It was slow going for me to really get INTO it all, and I resaid the prayer again just because I didn't feel I was truthfull the first time.
Now I'm 20 and wishing to share this wonderful truth with everyone I can see!
Though I still need to work on Reading the Bible everyday. been nearly 2 years and I'm only in Romans.

I had a lot of trouble in my life, although I am only 21 years of age. My parents divorced when I was 8, and it was not a peaceful divorce, it was full of anger and pain. I got sexually assaulted when I was 9, left unable to talk to anyone (I actually first talked about this 3 years ago to my best friend). I became swamped in drugs, taking Marihuana, cocaine and mushrooms when I was 14 to 17. People I loved killed themselves. I saw people die on the streets.

But one day, something really strange happened to me. I was walking through the forest behind our house with my dog. It was almost dark. I heared someone talk to me. Just to me. I knew this voice came directly came to my head, because the dog didn't react. The voice said "Come, follow me. I love you."


I was upset and frightened. "woohoo, now you're going insane, what a great day...."
I didn't know what to do so I went to chruch the next sunday. My family is what I call submarine-chrsitian... all the year under the surface, but at christmas and easter, we used to go to chruch.
And while I entered the church I felt a sudden warmth in my heart, kind of the feeling you get when you return home from a long and difficult journey.
I was thunderstruck as I heard the epistle of that sunday. Jesus talking to the disciples "come follow after me!"

I immediately started crying. But it was crying because of a great joy!

I knew from that point, that I am loved. That I am special. That I am wanted.
I studied the bible in my spare time and changed my life completely.

From that event on, I call me a christian.

I put some of my testimony in other posts. I'd love to answer this question but I feel like I'm still embraced by His Whirlwind, I am being snatched...in the present! It's happening right now. I know someday I'll look back at these days and see the works and be able to share my story as a whole but right now I'm too in the middle of it and it is changing everyday! Hallelujah!!!
