Old picture, but it doesn't matter what Jesus looked like. He never sat for a painting, and I'm sure there is a good reason for that. We are very simple creatures sometime, and if we had statues or pictures of him, we would worship them as idols. Look how crazy people get over the shroud that the "believe" came from the tomb?

Yes, it is odd that he is always portrayed with long hair, but like Ban, it really makes no difference to me.
Even now, what IS long hair? To the shoulders? To the waist? Uncut? |

Most would say He had short hair and this was more than likely the case- He indeed was no Nazarite as He drank wine. As far as the rest it doesn't matter what He looked like for the body is only a shell and it is what He was and did that counts.

For semi-obvious reasons, I did a lot of research into this issue a while back. I mean, my hair isn't exactly a military cut after all. A few things I found out, were really heavily based in context. Do you really think Christ would turn me away because my hair isn't a certain style? What kind of elitist garbage is that?
The areas speaking about this, were spoken to a particular group for a particular reason. Letters written to correct a problem in a particular church. Myself, I have not taken scissors to my hair at all, even to trim it, in about 2 years now. Prior to that, I always kept it as short as I could possibly manage. But I stopped being ashamed of my appearance when I came to Christ, and I have never looked back.
