I think that the Mayan Calender ordeal is when a new age begins. We live in the Age of "Pices" which is the last age I think. And Aries is the first age is what my mom said I believe. Aries is the God of war in Greece. I dont think the world will end persay in 2012 but I believe it could be the beggining of the end. If any of you follow up on conspiracy theories and such you may know more what I am talking about. There are some prophacies that has not happened yet. Example, the Anti Christ and his mark. What is scary is that I believe that a very good possible for the mark of the beast is this new microchip implant that they are testing with animals and people with aulstimers. I believe that could very well be the mark of the beast because it has everything you need in it for a one world government. If you think about it, the mayan calender stuff, there are alot of people who believe that and know about that. I dont remember the exact verse but I think its in Matthew where he says that he will come like a thief in the night. That means you wont expect it.

I think that one reason so many cultures talk about the end being in 2012 may be due to demonic deception. I'm not sure, but just a possibility. The reason why may be because they were all cultures who took part in witchcraft, and human sacrifice when it comes to the Mayans. Those are of course bad! Why would God tell them when the end is? Demons are smart though, and knew that if they told different cultures on opposite sides of the planet the same year, then in the future they could use it to deceive people, which is what they may be doing now. It is just a theory though, since it is an awfully big coincidence that there are so many cultures which say the year 2012 as being the end.

Yes, as most of you have said, only the LORD God knows when Jesus will return.

Do not look for signs and prophecies that are not from God. The Bible says not to do so. Just wanted to point that out

about the whole 2012 thing.. this is something to consider. it says in matthew 24:7-8. In this video this could very well be the birth pains

Christians down through the ages have always expected the Lord's return when things got really bad enough. It has never happened and will not until God's work here is done. With the huge harvest set before us today - it will not happen until the present harvest has been reaped. But who knows but what there is yet another harvest after this one. God obviously is not telling us because of the negative way it would affect our behavior. He is God and we are not. It's basically his business as to how many people he wants to create. If the people in the past had their way about the second coming you would not exist today. If we exist - who cares about future generations unknown to us?

A Prophesy...
...The rightous will separate themselves from the wicked, and flee into the wilderness. When he hears of this, the impious King, inflammed with anger, will come with a great army and surround the mountain on which all the righteous are all gathered. They besieged it on all sides, and will call on God with a loud voice; and He shall hear them, and send from heaven a Great King to rescue them, and destroy all the wicked with fire and sword.

This was a prophesy of one Lactantius during the persecution of the Christians by Diocletian, which began in 303AD. Jesus didn't come as he seemed to prophesy. Nor did he physically come as expected immediately after the fall and judgment of Israel in 70AD. He simply gave the disciples the two major events that both were in their future - the timing of both were unknown to them. First the judgment by God of Israel. The temple and city were destroyed by the prince (Titus); and next he said he was going to return for his people.

He simply said - here are the two major events in your future, the judgment and the second coming, but I really don't know when I am coming back - only God knows that. This means that any delay by God would add some kind of time interval between the two events. Today, looking backward, we can easily see that God delayed Jesus' second coming by about 2,000 years. Aren't you glad he did or you would not exist today.

My wife told me that her first generation Christian mother sincerely believed that WWI was the end of the world and they were living in the day of the Lord's return back then because the war was so horrible. She also went through the hard times of the Great Depression after that. WWII was no different; death and destruction was on a scale that was unparalled in history because it was worldwide. Estimates say that 55,000,000 people died in WWII. About half in Europe. 180,000,000 died in the 20th century alone in wars. Estimated Christian martyrs are at about 75,000,000 since that first day of the Christian Pentecost.

God's harvests seem to run in cycles; and he will not be returning for his people until at least the latest cycle of harvest is complete. God is love and he is not willing that any should perish and he will do anything to keep that from happening. God often uses extreme pressure to cause people to turn to him because it is the only way he can break down their stony hearts so they will look to him and be saved and restored. Somebody needs to be there when this happens to gather this harvest by telling them about Jesus and his love - that's us! There can't be a harvest without workmen and God is not going to pull out all of the workmen just before the harvest.

The battles of the Lord are to rescue the ungodly - not destroy them. The natural man is at emnity with God and all nations came to fight against Israel at the cross - the prophet said - we were all at one time God's enemy and he fortunately triumphed over us and conquered us as Zechariah said.
