Default deleberate sin

I found this website, and I don't know if it's true or not, of if it's false teaching or taken out of context. Or if they are right and everyone else is wrong.

take a look

Hi,
This thread reminds me of your previous thread called Laws and Sin.
I believe that a lot of folk on the forum did their best to share their understanding with you on that thread and it may be helpful for you to re read those comments.
Sin is a problem. Deliberate sin is a big problem. But in your situation and based on what you have already shared I honestly believe you need to spend some time studying and focusing on God as a Loving Father. God as the one who forgives. God as the one who planned your salvation. Jesus died on the cross for your sin.
Move you focus onto the positive for a while in order to restore the balance.
No I am not glossing over deliberate sin. I just honestly believe that you need to feed on the other side. The enemy is called the 'accuser' see
Rev 12:10 And I heard a great voice in heaven, saying, Now is come the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, who accuseth them before our God day and night.

God on the other hand says:
Heb 10:17 And their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more
Why. Because Jesus paid the price.
2Co 5:21 Him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf; that we might become the righteousness of God in him.
Rom 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is reckoned for righteousness.

I have read two sides. God does forgive intentional sins, and God does not. How do you know which is true?

All of us sin deliberately sometimes. We know we shouldn't do something, we do it anyway. Then we repent. And then we do it again. We fall, we fall again. So are we past hope?

No. Jesus is our righteousness, our sanctification and our redemption, 1 Cor. 1:30. He is able to cover us and to cleanse us. Just as Jesus told Peter that if his brother sinned against him 70 X 7 times, Peter should forgive, Matthew 18:21-22, so Jesus forgives us--and sometimes more than 490 times for the same sin.

I believe that it is not possible to lose your salvation.

I believe, however, that it is possible to reject it. This is completely different.

This site you are referring to is taking Hebrews 10:26 out of context, and not dealing with the whole book of Hebrews. Taken together, the book of Hebrews warns us against drifting, Heb. 2:1, getting into habitual sin, Hebrews 10:26, and then rejecting Christ, Heb. 6:4-6. This rejection is only possible for someone who is saved, filled with the Holy Spirit, strong in God's word, and operating in the gifts of the Spirit, Heb. 6:4.

Again, this is rejection by someone who knows fully what they are rejecting. It is not getting into sin and having to confess it over and over again.

God doesn't get angry at you because you struggle with sin. He grieves, because there are consequences. Your life will not have the witness it otherwise would have. But He doesn't throw you out because you fall, even if you fall 5,000 times or more.

Amen ArielL

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
1 John 1:8-10 (KJV)

So the only thing you can't be forgiven of, is rejecting Christ? Does this mean that as long as you repent, you can be forgiven no matter what?

But the repentance must be genuine.

This is something I struggle with, as time and time again I sin, it may not always be intentional but some of my actions have been less that Christian, and it can drag me down in thinking that I may reach a point where I am beyond redemption.

Hi Silent,

I found some subtle and not so subtle errors on that website. Most of it's just some factual quotes without a true line upon line Biblical study.

However, if the Lord has called you to study the sin problem and the law of sin and death, the bible is full of these verses, and are MEANT to be studied. That's why they are in the Bible.

You need not let anyone tell you what to study, the Holy Spirit will guide you into all truth. We have been given individual freedom of choice.

It was important for me to understand the law and sin problem in the "light of the good news." This was not some kind of day or two study but over years. The verses NEVER go away, they are meant to be studied over and over again. But again, for me, it was always in the context of the good news.

The Private Message email is always available for anyone, my wife (Alesia) and I are glad to respond to any pressing questions.

blessings in Christ,
John
