This is one of the only supernatural experiences that has happened to someone I know. It's not as spectacular as the ones you all describe, but I am still impressed by it.

My mother at one point had chronic fatigue. It became so bad that she was unable to get out of bed from the weakness. She was extremely depressed. Throughout her life she had never been religious, and she was Jewish so she never really knew about Jesus.

One day while she was in bed, she gave a simple prayer going something like "Jesus, I don't know if you exist or not, but if you do could you please help me." She told me that immediately after she said that, a wave of complete calmness and peace came over her, like nothing ever before.

She didn't immediately get better either. She was sick for a long time after that, but ever since that prayer she felt a sense of peace and calmness that allowed her to cope with her illness. Eventually she did get better, and she has been a Christian ever since that prayer.

Her story has always motivated me to stay strong in the faith, especially when things seem grim.

Indeed- my father had much the same experience before he became a Christian- God's love is awesome.
He was taking out the trash and talking to himself saying" O God I just don't know what to do- I am sick and may be dying, how will I take care of my wife?"- He later told me that a peace seemed to fall over him and all his fear was taken away- God's love is awesome.

Here is the second experience I referred to earlier.

My husband and I hosted a prayer group for a number of years. We didn't have the group every week--three other families also hosted--but we often did have them two or three times a month.

We were very blessed from week to week to see God move. We saw many answers to prayer. We also saw people healed before our eyes, and sometimes delivered. God is so amazing.

We encouraged our group to bring non-Christians. This meant we had people in our home who were outside our normal circle of Christian friends. Unfortunately this also made us vulnerable. We never had a problem, though, until one night when my husband was out of town. We had told our group that we couldn't host that week.

I was deeply asleep when I heard the Lord's voice telling me to wake up. He was also showing me somebody in our backyard, coming toward the back bedroom I was in. I recognized the man in the vision immediately--it was one of the rougher people in our group. I saw him walking toward the house. I saw a huge demon on his back.

I also saw angels. They were in our yard as well, and they were telling me to wake up.

I woke, and wondered if the door to our backyard was locked. I didn't know.

Now here is the strange thing about our house. We have a dummy door that appears to go into our first floor bedroom. It only has a regular door knob and lock on it--no dead bolt. But that door is not only barricaded on the inside, it is nailed shut.

Of course, that man didn't know this. I was awake by this time, but still seeing in the spirit. The man was near that dummy back door. And then I heard him try the door. He leaned on that flimsy looking door knob and tried to shove the door open. I heard it, because I was right behind it.

This was no vision. This was reality!

What to do? God's sheep hear His voice, John 10:27. That still, small voice told me to quietly sneak my hand around my bedroom door and turn on the light in the next room. So I did. The man left immediately.

Dream? Vision? Reality? Two days later that same man called to say that he just wanted me to know that he would never hurt me....

I know that night that I was shielded. That man had a demon on him. But there were angels in my back yard, and more importantly, Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. He spoke to me, gave me wisdom and protected me.

Some years ago I was very ill. I had difficulty sleeping, even difficulty falling asleep. So my husband and I would sing hymns as we lay in bed. We were in a hotel in Houston, singing a hymn one night which goes, "We are standing on holy ground, and I know there are angels all around. Let us praise Jesus now. We are standing in His presence on holy ground." Suddenly my husband said he saw angels. He began describing them.

They were at least 12 or 15 feet tall, and they encircled us completely, a whole group of them, with their backs to us. Their feet went through the floor, their heads went through the ceiling. As we lay in bed they surrounded us, even going through the wall behind us. They did not have wings. They looked like big men--warriors. They wore tunics which were belted at their waists. They had some kind of weapons which they were using against the attacks which were coming against us.

My husband--my business professor husband--described this, and then he fell asleep. I began crying.

I had been so ill. I began crying, because I realized that God had not forgotten me.

I made a vow that night that I would go after God with everything I had, and that I would serve Him with all my heart, with all my soul, with all my mind, and with all my strength.

Today, now 18 years later, I am completely well. But I have never forgotten my vow.

Thankyou for that awesome testimony. God Bless

And welcome .... ArielL

I haven't heard the stroy in a bit so i cant remember all the details. But my grandfather once had to catch a flight to get to somewhere very important,(i think the hospital, and possibly my uncles birth, but i can't remember) and it was in the winter, snow and ice were everywhere. On his way to the airport, a tire went flat. It looked like he was going to miss the flight so he prayed for God to help him. Instantaneously, right after he opened up his eyes, and car drove up and parked behind his, and man came out with all the supplies to change a tire in his hands already. He got to work quickly, and didn't answer my grandfather when he talked to him. The man finished and and went right back to the car and drove away. My grandfther got in the car, thanked God, and drove away. He caught the flight on time too. My grandfather believes it was an angel, or at least someone sent by God.

Also, this isn't an angel, but just something supernatural that God did for my Mom. It was on the 700 club, when robertson has the words of knowledge about healing. One day that happened and he healed my mother's knee. Just as simple as that, but still glorious.

ArielL,
You just reminded me of a story that is awesome to me.
When I was 23 I lived alone with my 4 young children in one of the worst neighborhoods in Columbus, Ohio.
Anyone familiar with Columbus? I lived on the west side 1 short block from Broad st.

I went to church 4 times a week,
3 of those times were at night so by the time I got home, it was dark and I had to park in a scary alley behind my house.
My children were usually asleep in the car when I got home.
Each time, I would pray.
I had to carry one child in while I left 3 others in the car and prayed no one would slip into my house or car as I made 2 or 3 more trips getting my children.
God always kept us safe though.

Back then, I was usually in bed by 10:30.
One night I was woken out of a sound sleep at 12:30 am with a horrified feeling.
It was like I knew for a fact that someone was breaking into my house.
I didn't hear any noises, I just woke up with this feeling of horror.
I most likely checked my 1st floor doors and windows to make sure they were locked.
I can't remember doing it, but I would have.
What I do remember is praying for protection.

The following morning, the lady that lived in the house attached to mine (called a double) told me that someone had broke into their house "last night".
Yes, it was at 12:30am.
They were awoken with a man standing over their bed with a knife~
I didn't tell her about my vision but I was in complete awe!

She said she had screamed and her husband fought with him and the intruder ran and left~

I didn't have a husband at the time.
But I had God and His angels watching over me and my children.
