I've heard enough stories, to believe they can...
But I also believe it's most probable that the demons which enter were invited by sinful actions in the home like witchcraft, and quija boards, dragons. ect.... Yes, I know it's mis-spelled... ![]() It may be possible that animals can see what we cannot... A friend of mine that babysits a family that are non-believers and into a very lustful, demonic lifestyle precious sweet dog will backout of certain rooms in the house in fear as if he sees something. beloved

In my own experience I have never read or heard or could find on Google any cases of animals being possessed with evil spirits - it is not their normal or preferred habitat. Animals have a soul, but no spirit. Evil spirits control people by fratrinization and convincing them to do things by spiritual communication. Spirits cannot communicate with animals. The only case was already mentioned...
Mark 5:11-14 (KJV) Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding. [12] And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them. [13] And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand) and were choked in the sea. [14] And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done. Considering the situation I would say the experience of being suddenly posessed frightened the swine and their reaction was to run amok. Unfortunately, they ran into the sea and drowned. I don't think they were driven to suicide by the spirits. If the spirits received some comfort from indwelling the animals why would they drown them? Their comfort was to be very short lived in this case. I think Jesus was on the east side of the Sea of Galilee at the time. Solomon had composed sayings that were recited to drive out evil spirits. One that I remember was to place fish entrals in the fire and breathe in the smoke. A dish of water was placed nearby; and the spirit when it would come out of a person was adjured to spill the water in the dish, so the exorcists would know that it had left. |
