This made me think of you~
44 “Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness, as He appointed, instructing Moses to make it according to the pattern that he had seen, 45 which our fathers, having received it in turn, also brought with Joshua into the land possessed by the Gentiles, whom God drove out before the face of our fathers until the days of David, 46 who found favor before God and asked to find a dwelling for the God of Jacob. 47 But Solomon built Him a house. 48 “However, the Most High does not dwell in temples made with hands, as the prophet says: 49 ‘ Heaven is My throne, And earth is My footstool. What house will you build for Me? says the LORD, Or what is the place of My rest? 50 Has My hand not made all these things? |

Thank you for your kind remarks, Violet.
It is just for that reason that we do not establish any "bricks and mortar" buildings, but rather hold our services in God's home - the outdoors. As I have stated in the past, our northern states prayer service venues have pine needles as our floor, the 160 foot tall White Pines are our walls and ceiling and the wilderness animals are our choir. In our southern states prayer service venues, the sandy beaches are our floor, the majestic Royal Palm trees are our walls and God's blue sky is our ceiling. |

I am very intimidated by big ornate churches. It is like a contradiction in terms to me. I said before, I would much rather hold services in a barn or outside, weather permitting!

That's right Azarias. It is not the building but that Christ is honoured in the building and the people are worshipping the Lord in spirit and in truth.

Mathew 18
19 "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them." Church need not be brick and mortar. It is a gathering of believers in one accord.

Act 2:46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
The place is unimportant. What does matter is that we get together and get to know one another and strive for unity. Our body's the temple our lives the sacrifice. where ever his name is spokenand His precepts studied the body is to assemble let it be a few or many. With all that being said the homes and smaller less pretegous churches are the those that provide the best fellowship. In fellowship Cliff |
