There are a lot of christian forums on the internet. These are great places to share your faith and praise God. But do you see them as substitutes for the real churches? Some of these sites call themselves online chuches with web pastors. The concept is new and interesting. It is certainly encouraging to a lot of christians worldwide.

Personally, I dont think that any of these site can replace the 'actual brick and mortar' churches that we attend. Also forums and internet churches can be built by anyone, not necessarily a true christian. There are a lot of fraud sites and online ministries.

What's your opinion about online christian communities?

By the way, please do not see this community as a substitute for your church. The fellowship at 'real church' is far more encouraging and effective. Use forums and internet communities to share great experiences or advice friends in need.

Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. (Heb 10:25)

I think physical fellowship , face to face is vital in our walk with the Lord . The internet has become a great tool to use as we share and search for answers about God . Nothing can replace the gathering together as Saints of God . Mike72
