Agree with the first response....Another good one: As long as you're a good person, you will go to Heaven. Ask the rich young ruler about that one!

Both very good ones - but I was hoping that some would post personal ones.

The lie that I believe is that when we do wrong the Lord abandons us. His love for us is commensurate with our obediance or keeping the rules either written or unwritten. This is particularly grevious to someone of my personality type (Guardian - as per Keirsey) who tend to be leagalistic. Guardians are Pharisees I'm afraid to say.

I also once believed that Jesus was just a small God and The Father was the great God. After all he is God's Son. I was confusing his earthly status with his heavenly status.

Ahhh, I gotcha now Jasher. Actually, the one I posted earlier I have believed in the past. One of the biggest of Satan's lies for me is I sin or have sinned so much, I can't possibly ever be right with God. Might as well go on sinning because it doesn't matter anyway.......Thankfully, I do know better than that now. I realize there is nothing I can do about it......except know Jesus, accept him as my savior and know that he died so I don't have to live in sin anymore. He came to Earth to save me personally, and anyone else who would believe in Him.

Ok .... Here's one. I believed for along time because I lived in a Christian home that I automatically was one .... Lie from the devil.

That if you tell someone that their lifestyle (drugs, homosexuality, religion) are wrong, then you're a bigot, or a bad person.
