Question How to repent?

If i do a sin then i have to repent...
What if i do the same sin again and again...How many times i have to repeat
of the same sin?
e.g.: I have to deal with people who does things to make me angry. They do the
same thing again and again. I never showed the anger but in my head i curse and
sware at them... and sometimes i laugh at people in an insulting way in my head for the things that they do to make me angry
I'm tring hard to not to sware at them but i guess i'm
human so it's difficult to not to sware...So every time i do this i
repent and ask for god's forgiveness.
I repent becuase i dont want to break teh commandment, love your neighbor as you
love your self.

But now i thought ... if i do the same sin again and again, would god get mad at me
becuase i do the same sin again and i repent of the same sin again and again?

Q: When i repent: How should i repent? Should i make a list of sins that i have
commited within the day and before i go to bed i should repent them?
Q:What if the person forgot the sins he has done?
PS:
One of the commandment is :
love your neighbor as you
love your self.
In here neighbor mean is my actual next door neighbor or is it refer to another
human being who could live in anywhere on this earth?
The above questions may sounds abit odd but i'm new to christianity
and when i'm learning something i get questions and questions need
answers
cheers

It refers to everyone else in the world.
The people who wind you up and get to you to make you angry, ignore them.. You are Stronger than them, (I don't mean physically).

We are all human, everyone makes mistakes and slips up, no one on this earth is perfect!

If you don't remember your sins, just ask God to forgive you of your sins.

We naturally fall and Sin, That you recognise that and strive to be better is what's important. no one can make themselves completly free of Sin untill they are no longer of this Earth.

As far as I see it, it is good to try and list off individual sins from the day and ask forgiveness and repentance of them, you're showing that you recognize them and wish to be better. myself and some people I've heard of ask forgivness in general for any Sin they forget or are unaware of, just to be sure.

Your neighbor counts as anyone you know or meet. Respecting everyone no matter what they do. It's a hard Commandment to follow but that you are trying is what's important.

God won't become angry at you for falling after you ask forgiveness and repent, it's part of us being in this world. It will happen, and will happen again, Just do your best to overcome it.

And do not listen to any thought that is telling you God will become angry at you for flaling. If you continues feeling really guilty or worried about what God thinks after you repent then just pray again pray for comfort and command the voice that's telling you you're still bad to leave in the name of Jesus.

Cross Living Boldly

I have been convicted that if I know I have sinned that they Lord has impressed that upon my heart. If I am unaware i Have sinned, He will also impress that upon my heart.

But, whether I have knowledtge of my sin, or no knowledge that I am sinning, I try to keep close His promise that He knows my every hair and my entire heart. That's pretty huge!

If I pray boldly and live boldly, or I don't...we will sin......SO if I believe boldly that He will transform my undoings, I can live in hope and peace that He covers me. His mercy is as far as east is to west.................

Dear Leonidus,

Your questions indicate a misunderstanding of some of the basics of Christianity. In as much as all aspects of christian faith are interlinked answering your questions out of context with the rest of the story ,so to speak, will not be sufficient.
The best thing for you to do in the long term is to get into a church and begin to learn where you can have support and interaction with other belivers directly.
I'm going to give you a few answers and encourage you to continue in both faith and learning.

You need to look at your christian experience as a walk, A process where by faith and dilgent effort you draw closer to our creator. Our christian walk is about more than a series of sins followed by repentance . It is about learning and coming closer to our creator. To come so close, in fact, that we see him as our eternal father. For as we accept Him as such and Jesus( Our creator's only begotten son) as our savour and understand at what great cost we are redeemed it will help us to honor and love therefore obey what our creator requires of us.

Upon our sincere and purely honest confession of faith and commitment to God's will we are set aside. If you havn't already done this, do it soon. I recommend that you do it in the presence of other believers so it can be confirmed. Then you should be baptized at the same time or shortly after as evidence to the world of your commitment and intent to follow Jesus. There are several reasons for being baptized, the best being that scripture tells us that we are to.
At this time one is saved ,as in set aside protected from the penalty of our sins.
As a new christian ( A follower of Christ Jesus) we are still on the wide road. Meaning that we are still living as the world. Our heart felt desire is to change from a person of the world to a person of Christ, or like Christ. This requires a serious commitment and intence effort. Our effort and acomplishment is displayed in our" Repentance"
To repent is not just a matter of saying one regrets for each and every sin.
Repent, lieraly means to turn around, to change direction, to tun away from something. In biblical terms it means to turn away from our sinful lives and toward a life pleasing to God.
That being a life deticated to avoiding sin. Sin is defined as failure to obey God. It is a process more than a tally of repentences for sins
It is a matter of having and deveoping a repentant heart. A heart that desires to be reconciled to God and turned away from the world. A heart that is troubled at the distance our sin makes between us and God.
Yes confession and professing our weakness helps but it must be sincere and deliberate to actual progress. How do we know it is sincere???? By the fact that not only do we ackowlege the sin before God and ask for forgiveness but we make every effort to prevent continuing in sin particulary the one we have just confessed and ask for forgiveness for.
Does that mean that we will never make that or another sin again??? No, but common sences assures us that if we sincerely try the chances are much greater than if we don't. Not only that but most sin though it may seem good or pleasent while in it, the consiquences always out way what is gained from it. Often times those consiquences are experienced here and now and sometimes they can be eternaly significant. Sin can cost our salvation (eternal presence with God).

Quote:
Q: When i repent: How should i repent?
In truth and sincerity understanding and accepting that our LORD (God) requires this and a sincere effort not to do it again.

Quote:
Should i make a list of sins that i have
commited within the day and before i go to bed i should repent them?
Once you realize at what cost you are given the gift of eternal life in the presence of our creator and what Jesus went through to make it possible, you won't have to make a list. Trust me!
Your heart won't let you forget ,not until you have it settled with God.

I wish to recomend that you read
Isaiah 53. This gives us an basic account of what Jesus has done on our behalf to assure our salvation. try reading it in a translation other than King james or the old english translations as it is easier to understand what is being said.
The gospels, Matthew, Mark Luke and John. as this provides great insite as to the will of our father in heaven and what is expected of us as christians.

sincerely
in Him
Cliff

Default It is not

about Sin it was dealt with at the CROSS. What you focus on is what you will be drawn too. All past , present and future sin is FORGIVEN. Pray is the Key thing here. It is getting into the presence of God. Building a relationship with HIM. When you do that then you become Focused on God not sin and you become more Christ like. It is called PROCESS we all go through it. Don't beat your self up over it. It is a Choice not a feeling.

Charles Stanley has some good lessons on this subject. He says to be forgiven by God, you must first forgive others of their transgressions, and you must forgive yourself. Follow this link and put in September 2007. The audio links for Sept 10 and 11 are about unforgiveness. I suggest you get his latest book also, "Landmines in the Path of the Believer". I just got it, have yet to start reading

Dr. Stanley won't always tell you what you want to hear, but he will tell you what the Bible says. He and Max Lucado are 2 of my favorite religious authors. I have learned much from those 2 fellows.
