"Never forget, gentlemen, this is not the Bible! This, gentlemen, is a translation of the Bible!" --Richard Whately, Anglican Archbishop of Dublin (1787 - 1863)
Thoughts, comments, suggestions? God bless.

I believe we should concern ourselves more with what God conveys to us through it and less about what some one whos been absent from this world over a hundred years ago had to say about it.
My question is why would any true Christian cast doubt upon writings inspired by God? Is the bible dead ,having been once written and then abandon as by man????? Certianly not!!!! It is as alive as the Holy Spirit that interprites for us!!!!! With all do respect to Richard Whately, Anglican Archbishop of Dublin (1787 - 1863) That is just one man"s opinion. sincerely Cliff |

Sounds like another psuedo intellectual and to me. Not everyone who calls himself christian is of Christ and without God's Holy Word we are hopelessly lost. If we had no original manuscrpripts we could put togeather over 90% of the New Testament just from letters written to indivivuals in the early church. It seems they had a real love for the Word of God and loved to discuss it- we should do no less- Selah

Thanks, everybody, so much.
I myself don't doubt that the Holy Bible is a true guide to my spiritual growth. However, on many occasions, I doubt my own interpretations of the bible and need to seek out the help of fellow Christians to understand.
