Act 16:30
And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
Act 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

As members of this forum we must agree that we are saved by the shed blood and subsequent ressurection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. As a diverse group of believers we will obviously have many different viewpoints on scripture- that is were friendly discussion comes in- we can all learn from each other . There may be times when we don't come into complete agreement, those are the things we will trust Jesus to work out. If we are saved we are family and as such we need to treat each other with the utmost respect. Selah-

Rom 12:4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:
Rom 12:5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
Rom 12:6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
Rom 12:7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;
Rom 12:8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.
Rom 12:9Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
Rom 12:10Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;

Respect should be one major attribute of a Christian.
I believe it is something we all need to take very seriously.
As Christians we should be role models, not only for sinners but for other Christians.

Absolutely!!!

I have been labeled a young earth creationist and an amelinialist. Although I simply refer to myself as "Christian."

I read the Bible for what it says. Plain and simple.

Creation/Evolution, Pre/Post/A melinialism... make for some very interesting discussions.

People get out their Bibles, share thoughts, study the Word. (Just as we are commanded to do.)
It is very often done with respect and everyone benefits.

But when someone attempts to find hidden meanings, or secret codes, (I am not talking about sound exegetical interpretation.) that's when I simply have to end our discussion.

I don't believe that God hid something from us in scripture.

And I also believe, that "if" God had hidden something, we wouldn't be able to find it anyway.
