Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. These are my words and my beliefs~ Salvation is a free gift from God. I believe in repentance, water baptism and The comforter; The Holy Ghost. First comes faith in believing that Christ loved and died in place of us. Then we repent of our sins and accept Christ as our Savior. Next we are baptized as an act of obedience to God and a symbol of our sins being washed away. Acts:2 38Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call. 40And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. 41Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. all believer have been baptised and have the Holy Spirit, the Son and Father in side of them....
why do we still sin.... 1 john 1:8-10 if they are there total depravity... yes how does one get the Power... from God

You reap what you sow- once saved we are to be led of the Spirit- we are to read the Word but only with the Holy Spirit as our teacher and we are to develope our relationship with God by spending time with Him. In short we are to feed our inner man and not our flesh - we are to be renewed in our minds believing God's Word over all else- we are to walk by faith- amny blessings on your- day brother Larry

that part of the fruit of the Spirit gal 5:22-24... but in our flesh we can not bring forth anything good ..Jn 15:5

True and that makes the answer so much simpler:
Gal 5:16This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. Gal 5:17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. |
