A while back I was going through my DVD collection and came to a pretty disturbing reality...I had very few movies that delivered uplifting messages or taught the Word.
So I'm hoping we can help each other out here...please, if you have a title to add to the list, share it! Please share any titles that you can think of that have up-lifting messages of hope or movies that teach the Word. Thanks... Man of Miracles - John Ritter plays a fireman who is rescued from the flames of a housefire by a mysterious fireman that some believe was either an angel...or Jesus Himself. Facing the Giants - Very inspirational story of a football team who accepts Christ as the Lord. Left Behind (1, 2, and 3). The Passion of the Christ. Leap of Faith - makes me angry, however, that Steve Martin almost seems to take credit for the rain at the end. The Tribulation - I think this is the one that I have. It's a sequel to another movie, and it stars Margot Kidder. Takes place during the Rapture. The Greatest Story Ever Told. Bless the Child (horror) - a little disturbing, but the message is there. Ideas? Suggestions? Anybody want my horror collection ![]() |

Unidentified
Revelation Chronicles of Narnia The Lord of the Rings... if you don't believe me... J.R.R. Tolkein wrote these as a response to being saved. Each ring character has a quality of Christ... more to come on that subject... Deceived Let me think...

"End of the Spear" is a great movie. Not just inspriational, but very well done, too.
"Luther" is not exactly insprirational, but a great historical movie that gives much insight into the evolution of our modern day church. Do NOT get "The Last Sin Eater." While it is inspriational, it's terrible as a movie and just not very good. I have not theological problems, it's just not very entertaining. My wife and I Netflixed a bio on CS Lewis to watch this weekend and look forward to checking it out. |

Love both the End of the Spear and the Prince of Egypt. My kids watch the latter all the time... until they decide to scratch up the DVDs... again...
