[FONT='Trebuchet MS', Verdana, sans-serif]A recent study found that young people between ages 13 and 24 who said they were spiritual or religious were happier than those who said they were not spiritual or religious. Sponsored by the Associated Press (AP) and MTV, the report showed that 80 percent of those who said they were religious said they were happy compared to only 60 percent of those who said their faith was not important to them. “If you believe God is helping you, then everything else isn't as important and you can trust that there's somebody there for you no matter what,� Molly Luksik, a 21-year-old from Chicago, told the AP. “Just going to church and everything ... it's very calming, and everyone is nice.� About 75 percent of the young people said that God affected their happiness while 90 percent surveyed said their happiness was partially controlled by them. “I think you do have control over how you are going to feel on a particular day,� said David Mueller of Lockport, N.Y., a 20-year-old college student who attends an evangelical Christian megachurch called The Chapel. “When it comes to events in your whole life, it's already somewhat laid out for you. You can stray off to another path. But where God wants you to go, you are going to get there,� he said.

The great thing is that another young person, just got saved Yesterday, in our prayer meeting..God had just been working with her since last week(She just started picthing in prayer last week, and God on tuesday last week did maverlous thing, His spirit was present in abundance, I thin thats where she was convicted), then today she said "Master Jesus, yeah take control over my life"..Oh God what a great day, i know if Master Jesus touch your heart, you'll never be the same..I just pray that God, He should hold her, guide her, healed her every wounds she may have in her heart, and that His beuty may be seen by her in every circumstances..Amen

Agreed. Even though things may not get easier when your a Christian but with having Jesus inside, you will be a much more happier and joyful person.

You"re right again Brother Larry . I am particularly joyful when I see a young person, who has their whole life ahead of them, come to the Lord and I rejoyce with Nathi. That is so awesome and so encouraging to the other young people.

Nathi, I'm happy to hear that that young soul gave her life and heart to Jesus... So the angels were rejoicing in heaven about it! Oh, if only more young people know Jesus and live with Him and for Him!

I believe this is happening all over the world and am so glad to see the Holy Spirit moving in the lives of the young and can see it here with the young people who post. God is using them to further His kingdom in ways that we never thought possible.


Holy Spirit has been telling me although I am in the old catagory,and I have not dreamt dreams but am being directed by Him to pray for the young people as they need our prayers more than ever before. There is so much in the world to draw them away from Him moreso than in my day.

Holy Spirit is telling me to be an encourager to the young people. They are our future.

I see so many older people in the church shunning young people because they have different expressions of music and dress and a lot of them turn some young people away because of this attitude. Embrace the young people, they are the future church. Try to understand their ways instead of criticism Ask them how you can pray for them and you will see how much of a blessing they will be in your life.

So, to all the young people who post here. Let the Lord be your strength and guidance. Let your future rest in Him and you will never be sorry. Your goal is your eternal home . God bless you all.And I love you all. Thanks for letting a senior be part of your lives.
