Please refer to Deuteronomy 19:10-13 (KJV) regarding PREMEDITATED HOMICIDE.
That is exactly what suicide is - the pre-planning of one's own demise. It is the deliberate murder of one of God's children... how to YOU think God feels about that? God has a plan for each of us and when persons can not deal with life's issues, refuse to speak with God about it and kills themselves, God, in my opinion, weeps... because the plan that he had for them is meaningless and one more of his children, that could have gone on to great things, will now be judged instead, as a murderer. |

There is only one unforgivable sin...and I don't think suicide is it.
Matt12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. 32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

Now, consider, if you died at this very instant is there some sin that you haven't confessed, no matter how small or tiny, that if not confessed will bar your entry into eternity with God? There are different understandings of scripture, I know the Catholic folks have listed some particulars on the nature of mortal vs. veinal sin based on this: 1John5: 15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. 16 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. 17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death. ...and by their understanding of Church Tradition believe that suicide is one of the "sins unto death", maybe so~but just looking at the Bible I'm not seeing it.

In many cases, suicide is the end result of mental or emotional illness. If one is not in control of his/her faculties, the free will to commit sin is NOT there. I prefer to leave the final judgement to the ALMIGHTY.

Suicide is a trick of the devil's to destroy us and take away our gift of salvation. I am not questioning someone who is truly mentally ill, which CAN be a physical illness.
Fight satan all the way! Jesus' name has the power to do this! We only have to believe because the Bible says there is power in no other name! |
