Religion without relationship leads to no understanding of GOd's heart or His Word - that is the problem the pharasee's encountered then and some still encounter today. Religious types seem quick to condemn and point fingers, slow to love and care for others. Without the Holy Spirit's guidance the bible itself is a book of bondage for :2Co 3:4 And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:
2Co 3:5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
2Co 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

i agrre with you,the spirit saves,but the word of God saves your spirit.our words judge us.people think by confusing words they can fool God,but there words are foolish.God searches there all.
