Smile Prayers are answered I have Proof!!!

Let me start by saying thank you to all of the family and friends who have kept me in their prayers over the years. Without the power of prayer, being persistent by Keep Asking, Searching, and Knocking as it says in the Holman Christian Standard Version of the Holy Bible in Matthew 7:7 "Keep asking and it will be given to you. Keep searching, and you will find. Keep knocking, and the door will be opened to you. In the years past, I know I must have made it hard to have a godly thought in my direction. Nevertheless, even though I was always out of grace I always prayed and Power Prayers on my side. I did get straightened out years ago and I have many good years back serving the Lord now.
I would like to talk about my most recent blessing and answered prayer. It has to do with a very special person in my life and his family or shall I say my family, my younger brother and his family (or our family.) There have been many years that my brother and I have had a very rocky relationship. We have been basically out of touch for about ten years. We knew what was kind of going on with each other’s lives because my Momma would tell each of us the good things about the other. There were a few times when we were amicable to make others happy or for an occasion like our Momma graduation’s from college. During this period that went on for years, we have both been blessed with beautiful families and fruitful lives. There was always that bond that we built years ago as children that was stronger than your average brothers. I believe this comes from being such a dysfunctional family and I had run away and left him several times and the last time when I was 15 and he was 10. This was a terrible blow to him and a big loss to me. I didn’t stop there I continually let him down until 1997 when I got clean and sober and started to get in touch with God again. However, we still had bad blood until this past year just before fall we both helped my momma move and we have been the best of friends since. The Power Prayers, My Momma’s and my prayers where answered.
Because of my Brother’s strengths and courage as a man, he was willing to let the past be the past. My Brother looked at me for whom I am now and remembered the good parts of me from the past. I must admit all I can see of him is just how much I love him, how proud he makes me, how much I love my niece and nephew, and the love my children have for him and his family.
I kept Knocking, and God answered a prayer I was not man enough to fulfill when I had the power to make a difference. Now my Brother and I speak almost daily, we e-mail everyday; we are working together on a project and working well together. It’s wonderful to have him in my life and my family’s life. It shames me though to know and remember how much pain I put him and my Mom through, not to mention the time missed. However, the pain is far outweighed by the joy of true friendship, trust, and brotherhood. I know today that prayers are answered because for the rest of my life I will always have my Brother to turn to laugh With, Cry with and trust with anything.
God Bless You!
In His Name..

Such pain can be soon forgotten but such joy will be with you always- what an awesome testimony of restoration and reconciliation- is is easy to see God's hand and heart in it!
I am firmly convinced that God has always heard and answered all of my prayers (sometimes He does say no but thas ok) and I am also convinced that one of the greatest powers on earth today is a praying momma- as evidenced by the dents in the linoleum were they kneeled and poured their hearts out to God- may God's blessing and peace rest on your family- bother Larry
