If the spirit dies as well then does one go to hell. How can one linger in a place without body or spirit? Hell is the absence of God; God is omnipresent, he created all and is in all, so is hell a place or the state of being completely non-existent in body and soul?

Bodies are raised at the resurection- as the spirit enters the body the soul becomes activated or alive (see Genesis Chapter 2) without the spirit the body is just dirt- until the breathe of life ( spirit) is breathed into him by God so it would seem (according to my observations that is) that the spirit, body and soul are present at judgement- the soul of man ( mind, will , emotions, personality- basically who you are) is what Christ came to save and without Him it is the soul who suffers in eternal torment-

Mat 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Yes Brother Larry..... Hell is a real place and I don't think the churches preach so much about it these days as they are trying to sugar coat a lot of stuff.

In my day that was a topic that was preached in the church and people were coming to Christ and altars were full.
