What did Jesus make for us by His death on the cross?
![]() When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. (Jn.19:30) So, what was finished? Our salvation? I know, that through His death we received: - Redemption from eternal death: I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid from mine eyes. (Hos.13:14) - Salvation from sins Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness... (1Pe.2:24) - Healing from diseases: … with his stripes we are healed. (Isa.53:5) - Victory: But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1Co.15:57) - Freedom from bondage Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. (Ga.5:1) - … (if I'm right...) Please, can you help me to continue the list of what we have through death of Jesus Christ. God bless you! ![]()

And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
(Luke 24:44 KJV) When Jesus said those words He meant that the whole will of God was done. God the Father sent Jesus to earth to do certain things. He had to be incarnated as a human being. He had to suffer and die and then He had to rise up from the dead. Through this He obtained eternal salvation for His people. The whole righteousness of the law was fulfilled. Prophecies were fulfilled. Let's look at three examples of the things that were fulfilled: The birth of Jesus Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. (Matthew 1:22-23 KJV) This was prophesized in Isaiah 7:14 KJV Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. The suffering of Jesus That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses. (Matthew 8:17 KJV) This was prophesized in Isaiah 53:4 KJV Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. Jesus entering on a donkey All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass. (Matthew 21:4-5 KJV) This was prophesized in Zechariah 9:9 KJV Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass. Jesus could not die on the cross before all was done according to the will of God and as it was prophesized in the Word of God. |

Christ carried our sins in his body on the cross so we would stop living for sin and start living for what is right. ( 1 Peter 3: 24)
He wore the indignity of sin for us .He bore SIN..... yours and mine, the sins of all humanity. If He had not done that for us we would still be in our sin. The way of the cross provides the way to glory and victory, not defeat and humiliation. Jesus knew that his trial was according to God's will and faced it with humiliation and self control. When Jesus said " it is finished" it was because He had fully accomplished God's will and paid for our sins in full. Glory , Hallalujah...... What a Saviour. I am getting chills just thinking about what He did for us. Praise His Name.

Thank you for your answers.
So, I can continue the list with some points bellow: - Fulfillment of prophecies And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. (Luke 24:44 KJV) - Righteousness through and in Jesus For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. (2Co.5:21) - Expierience of His resurrection power For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection (Ro.6:5) - Accomplishment of God's will Oh, how great is God's love to us, His children, that He has made to much for us!!! Praise and glory be to His Holy Name!!! Maybe there are some more points we can include ...?
