If God created night and darkness for our rest I think it's a wonderful thing.

I don't say "good night and God bless you"! I say "Good night my loves, I love you and Jesus loves you!" Then I pray for a restful and peaceful night sleep for them! The night is not evil! God made it for us to rest, sleep and regenerate. The devil is evil, day or night but he can be kept at bay with prayer and trust in the Lord! I think we as Christians need to be careful not to start seeing "evil" in everything every time we turn around. That kind of attitude is what spooks unbelievers and makes them wonder about us. Jesus said that He came that we might have life and that more abundantly here on earth. Being wise about the way we live our lives and being sensitive to the promptings of the Holy Spirit is one thing but looking under rocks, so to speak, and thinking everything is "evil" is another!
