Well, its like this...
I made a decision this Summer that I wanted to move out of my house when I graduated this year and turned 18. At first, I really wasnt sure what I wanted to do or where I wanted to move to but then I got a really good, though complex and perhaps difficult, idea for a plan in life. at the start of this school year, Im going to go fill out a bunch of applications and try to get a job. If and/or when I do, I plan to bank about 90% of the money that I make while I still have whatever job I end up getting. At the end of the year when I finally graduate, I plan to take all that money that I put in the bank (which by then will be a pretty hefty amount) and buy a plane ticket to Israel. I should still have a pretty good chunk of money left even after that so when I get there, I wanna create a life for myself and stay. I know its gonna be hard for me not to spend some of the money in the bank beforehand but I think I can do it..and though it may sound silly, Im excited

Not silly at all, but as a former law enforcement officer in years gone by, may I just make a suggestion?
A colleague of ours recently returned from a charter trip to Jerusalem, Haifa and Tel Aviv. They were guarded 24/7 in their group by Israeli military personnel, private security forces and plain clothes officers everywhere that they went. When they traveled, it was in a military styled convoy and the lead vehicles were armored vehicles looking for roadside improvised munitions and insurgents with RPG launchers. If you are planning on staying, PLEASE!!!! - do your homework on area-wide security issues before you make the comittment. Best of luck with your plans and may God bless and protect... |

So are you planning on becoming a citizen of Israel? If so and you are 18 there is a mandatory (2 year?) enlistment in the Israeli Defense Force for citizens of Israel I believe. I'm not sure how that would work with you immigrating to Israel. I'm no expert on the topic but it might be something you want to look into.

Spending time in Israel would be an such exciting visit, but living there...wow
. I suggest you spend a lot of time in prayer and ask God to guide you to the right information and some good connections over there. If you still feel that God is leading you to do this after much prayer, then go in peace and please be careful.
