I think Sylvanus makes a good point, though. What JRF and Jeremy have concluded is that if they have a bad experience (or two, or ten), then to heck with church, I'm off on my own. In fact, this could be the opening God is giving you to affect some real change. Maybe it's within your congregation, maybe it's somewhere else, but sometimes God has to make us uncomfortable in order to get our butts in motion...he certainly has done this with me a time or two.

Sometimes, we're in seasons of our lives where we need to be fed, to receive the Word and be helped. Other times, it's our turn to step up and carry out what the Holy Spirit leads us to do. I *think* that Sylvanus is trying to say is that if this situation never occured, you would still be sitting there in a dead church, not doing anything. But, maybe now you're motivated to take some action and further His kindgom.

Either way, keep us updated.

As far as I am concerned the only way that church is going to get it together is if God himself move through there...but I know I am also needing to get things together in my life.

Well if that is what Syvanus is implying I think that is an unfare assumption. I havent written the whole degree of what I have been through in that church that was just a snippet and I was mostly venting. My church as put me through a lot and I have tried to change or help but they refuse and are stiff neck people.

I fully agree! I have experienced the same thing in my life and ministry on a number of occasions. It makes me think of Deut 32:11 As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:
The Eagle needs to teach her young to fly.
God sometimes seems to stir up the cozy nest I find myself sleeping in and he pushes me out. But always under the protection of his wings.

Yes well that is the other thing...I have been out of His will because I was just deply discouraged by the people in my church...but I had to realise people are just people I must look to Jesus. Which is why I started crying on sunday because I know what it is to really Love the lord and to Really worship him and just to sit and watch some of the people in my church it looks as if they dont have a clue. I was just praying in my head, worshipping God and just telling him I know lord I know what it is to love you and worship you but do they? And my spirit just got so sad and i burst out crying and another girl just started speaking tongues.. it was kind of weird...but I know it was for a reason.

God is moving and I guess I am apart of what he is doing although I keep getting discouraged.
