Default How much time do we have?

If we as Christians are to hold our doctrine of eternal life vs. eternal damnation as being a true phenomenon, then how much time do we have to save a human soul?

There isn't any rehearsal. We don't get a second life to come back and try it again. It's one life, one shot to get it right the first time. We don't have time to play around or argue with each other. Instead, our ordinance is to work together as one body of Christ.

Apostle Paul has introduced us as Gentiles to the healing power of the gospel to save souls from pain and suffering. All we have to do is to bring our brothers and sisters, who are thirsting for spiritual understanding, to the fountain of life to drink the water of Christ.

How much faith does it require for us to preach the gospel in exchange for our eternal salvation?

Amen!

We don't save souls! Saving souls is what Jesus came to earth for. He died on the cross so we, through faith, might have eternal life.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

How much time we have is not the relevant question. We have whatever time God grants us which will be sufficient to do His work here. We are the workers. We are to plant the seeds, to preach the Gospel. The Spirit sees to the watering.

I agree we need to work together. We need to help each other accomplish the task set before us.

But I disagree with you're saying we only get one chance in this life and we'd better get it right.

Romans 3:23-4
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

1 John 1:9-10
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives.

If we don't get something right the first time, well, that's what grace and forgiveness are about. We're not perfect, but our faith in the One who is will help us get through this life and into the next.

Please be careful here! We do not preach the Gospel in exchange for our salvation. That would be salvation by works. I'd be interested to see your Scripture reference backing up your claim.

Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Yes! Amen! To HisManySongs!!

The old 'serpent' [Satan] doctrine of getting to Heaven
on man's own righteousness, power and works!

Titus 3:5: Not by works of righteousness which we have
done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the
washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Titus 3:6: Which he shed on us abundantly through
Jesus Christ our Saviour;

Titus 3:7: That being justified by his grace, we should be
made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
