I'm going to have to come out clean and say that I do have interest in a form of artwork known as "anthro" or "furry" artwork... also known as furry fandom and such. Yes, I am one of them. No, I am not gay (there is a lot of them that are). And I'm trying to use this to let God shine in the dark, so please don't judge me.

The artwork itself is simply: drawing yourself as an animal character with human characteristics. The description of your character is called a "fursona".

On the upside, this has sparked interest in me to become an artist yet again, as I haven't touched any form of media (to draw, sketch, or paint) in well over three years. I've even got two people so far who want to help me draw my character up as well.

And yes, although I am exploring my artistic ability, I am well aware there is a "dark side" to this too... something called "yiff" or "yiffy" artwork. I don't need to go into detail on what is involved in it, only to say it is quite devious. And yes, I will admit to looking into it - it is hard not to though - since on most websites the artist voices free speech, thus the content is not censored (like most of the internet).

There is more to the furry fandom than just artwork though... there are these events called "cons" (furry conventions)... it's just a place where people go to look at artwork and have a good time (some dress up in fursuit). And though there is quite a bit of bad publicity and drama (CSI is one offense) - the media can say whatever they want because you're the ones paying them to talk... not everything they say is true of the fandom. And most of the deviances stay in the artist's artwork.

Again, looking for ways to bring light to this. Hope to spread the Word around somehow with this new artwork (actually it's not new, it's been around for a long time... but it's new to me).

It would be interesting to see some thought on it.

First why did you think we would judge you? Just because something is not Christian or religious doesn’t mean it’s wrong.

Though I had posted this recently, I would like to note the following:

- I do spend lots of time within the internet, so that others may know me
- It is easy to access a bible, online - and yes I do read the bible on this filthy evil thing we call the internet (kidding sarcasm
- If I were to straight out say I was a Christian to them, or start speaking about God I would be eating those words I spoke... what I am doing within this isn't sudden, but gradual. People will eventually find that I am not like them at all. When they do find the true value within me, I won't be afraid to speak out.
- yes there is sin within this thing I'm getting myself into... just like there's sin in the streets, and in the very church you go to (yes I said that). There's Christians in places you wouldn't otherwise think they'd be in though.
- My artwork will try to glorify God... I'm not sure how, but I have a very imaginative mind. A slew of ideas ran through my mind the other day... I cannot draw that well, so maybe I'll get someone to help me (as I have lost ability somewhat).

Other than that it's not a big deal that I'm into it, the big picture is trying to tell others what I'm really into, and that's Jesus. But like anyone I have heard say, which is true: Actions speak louder than words
