Well I think if you can honestly turn from God there is no way you were ever saved to begin with...

Being bitter and hating are not fruits of the spirit but...somepeople can still be saved and have those feeling because they have just let the enemy get in there mind... I mean who are we to tell a person they arent saved??? I just would pray for them personally the bible tells us not to judge maybe they just need to be refilled or refreshed the bible does talk about that. I give people the option of the doubt because you never know what God might be doing in that persons heart. I just pray for people... I cant believe that you can backslide because as I said previously Why would God give you the Holy Ghost if all he knew you were going to do is loose it?? He wouldnt to that. My old church use to teach that but I disagree... thats me though. Could you imagine loosing your salvation so easy? I know I dont plan on giving mines up for nothing! Much love, Caresse

Once you are saved you remain saved. God adopts you. You become a child of God, and heir with Christ and God will never leave you nor forsake you. Salvation does not depend on your own works.

I like the things you listed and all are very important to the Christian walk, to maintaining fellowship with God and to growing in Christ, but none are necessary for you to remain saved. I hope this helps. Blessings in Christ, ElBob |

Faith in Christ is the only thing that can save you and the only thing that can keep you saved- as far as loosing your salvation there are many views but I think this scripture says it best:
1Jn 2:19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. There are many who followed Jesus for the miracles, loaves and fishes and never wanted much to do with Him or His teaching- sadly the same can said today. Many follow God because they want something from Him- some run around doing things in His Name to satisfy a religious streak in their flesh- these people are referenced in the following scripture: Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? Lord didn't we- all the works ( even in His Name) without Him in your heart won't get you in- many blessings Larry |

If you aproach the subject honestly and scripturally there is only one answer- God's Word declares:
1Jn 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1Jn 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. No matter how hard you try you have some area of sin in your life- tell me how can you began in the Spirit trusting Christ for your salvation and expect to earn your way in on your own strength. What if you die with one unconfessed sin? Will Jesus reject you? What about two? Is it your ability or His faithfulness and goodness that saves? The Word of God has much to say about this-Selah Last edited by Boanerges; 06-05-2007 at 11:05 PM. |

2Ti 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
