I was thinking about this hypothetical question, and was wondering how everyone felt:
"You are deep in prayer, worshipping God, when you hear an almost audible voice. The voice tells you that you have a job to do for the Lord. You need to pack up your things, move half way across the world, and help God set up a church in a far away nation. God promises you that this church will be a success, so long as you do everything He says. Do you go?" I was thinking about this, and I'd like to think I'd follow any path that God guided me down, but if it was something like this, could it possibly be too hard? I was wondering what everyone thought on the matter. |

Also, in my current situation, half way through a degree at University, if I was asked by God to be a mission in China tomorrow, I'd find that very hard to do, at the ripe age of 19 years and no worldly experience. So while nothing is impossible through God, some circumstances aren't correct. |

Well, I have never heard even an almost audible voice though I have prayed and asked God for signs.
I think anytime we have ever had a big decision to make God has always had 2 or 3 things happen that edified the situation. As an example~ We lived in a very expensive state in the east and rented our home. I wanted a change, mainly for financial reasons. One day I mentioned Illinois would be a nice place to live. A few weeks later my husband came home from work and said he had been asked if he wanted a position in Illinois. That week our landlord decided we had a month to move out because our small children were noisy (for the neighbors below us.) Even more happened to show us this is what we were to do. My point is, everything fell into place without any prodding on our part. |

Dear violet,
It's called providence. God's provision, guidence, way that He cares for us. By controling the sequence of events, circumstance, so as to make his will and our best interest manifest. I experience it quite often. It is an aweome experience, and a blessing to know that our father in heaven is controling all things for our best. Sincerely His and yours Cliff |

You guys all realise this was hypothetical, right? I wasn't actually talking on behalf of myself to any degree.
Like you know when someone tells you something "their friend" did, because they don't want to admit it was themself who did it?! It wasn't like that at all. I just wanted to know how you'd all respond to God asking you to make huge life changing decisions. |
