Hello everyone!
Since we have so many new folks around here, I thought I would start a new thread! Something light and funny! 'You guys up for it? So, let's just see how open everyone is about themselves and how willing to share their... um... blunders! I'm looking for embarasing moments...  Things you've done or said at the wrong time or in the wrong place that made you wished the earth would open and swollow you up! I'll start! Once when I was still working as a realtor I was showing a home to a very lovely couple with a little girl. At the time Ken and I had just started thinking about adopting so, to break the ice I complimented this couple on their pretty daughter, who really was very pretty and extremly well behaved! We started chatting as we were going through the house and things were going really great! They even mentioned they wanted to use me to help them find the house of their dreams. I was "in" as they say and about to close the deal, until... I looked at the lady who was standing next to me and giving her a gentle pat on her tummy, I said with a big smile on my face: "So, I see you've decided to add to the family. When are you due?" As I said the last sylable, my heart sank! I saw their face(especially HER'S...) and I knew... She was NOT pregnant! Needless to say, they left and I never heard from them again... I hope you guys will not let me be the only one to share... Laura

lol. That was too funny.
 I make fun of my dad in front of my mom by showing faces and acting strange behind his back and I always make sure he never notices it. Its just a fun thing to do on a very very very strict dad. Recently I did it again and this time it was the best of my mimicking him with so much more faces and gestures until I realized that he was right in front of a huge mirror on which my reflection could be clearly seen and plus dads smiling face. I ran away to escape the embarrassment.

Laura, I always wondered how people could do that....... til I did it 2 weeks ago!!! I patted someone's belly and said in surprise, "You're pregnant again?!" Of course, she wasn't. A moment when you wish you could turn the clock back 5 seconds~ I've never done anything like that before! Oh well, I gave her a hug and encouraged her when she said she's trying to lose weight. So, you're not alone~  |
